Everyone knows Bron goes in chill mode in the regular season these days:mjlol: He's been consistent about saying playoff seeding doesn't matter:manny: Its all about what you do in the playoffs. They both got a ring after playing each other two years in a row. Maybe if one of these teams win next year then they enter the conversation.

but Cavs weren't playing at this level in last years postseason. Obviously Love and much more so Irving being injured had something to with that, but you can't rank an all time great team and their season if the best players are hurt. That's why its important for next year that Kyrie stays healthy and we see them try to defend the crown next season.

And they won each of those series.

I'm not taking any credit away from the Cavs ring. They earned it, they're the champions while Golden State is second place. But it's fine to look at the margin of victory and take not of how close they were to a repeat.

The Warriors were not up 3-1 under normal circumstances. Green was suspended for the very next game at home, Bogut tore up his knee in said game and Iggy tweaks his back the next. Did something similar happen in last years finals? Yeah. Getting breaks are a part of winning a title and the Cavs got a few this year just like the next champ will next season.
1 fukking game with three opportunities breh, just fukking 1 and 2 of them were at home. An all time great team over comes these challenges and win the series, 12 mn a game bogut was not going to stop an ATG from going back 2 back simple.

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
The Cavs would have been a 64-68 win team this year if Kyrie hadn't missed 29 games, I think perception of them changes next year if they stay healthy, they should win mid to upper 60s.

The Cavs don't care about the regular season.

I brought this point up on media day before the season started and David Griffin flat out said it.

They just want titles.

the way I see it is this. Serena Williams is the greatest female tennis player ever, whenever she loses I never look at the opponent and say they must be an all time great too.
:snoop: How the fukk you gonna compare Serena to the Golden State Warriors? The REASON Serena is an all time great is exactly why the Warriors arent. She's been winning titles for damn near 20 years and has won more championships than damn near anybody.

The Warriors are a flash in the pan at this point.

Even without caring, they would have been in the 60s.

The way the Cavs handle the East in the playoffs should tell people just how good/dominant they are, but these dumb fukks use that as a means of putting the East down.

Why do you hate the warriors so much?

This was one of the strangest Finals I've ever seen. The Warriors were five points away from a repeat and their two best players never really played well. One great game each and the rest were meh. I can't recall another series like that. In a roundabout way, it shows how good Golden State was. :ld:

Nobody likes to talk about this, but if the roles were reversed:

Cavs up 3-1 when both teams at basically full-strength
Cavs player suspended in G5
Cavs player injured in G5 and out for the rest of the series
Cavs player injured in G6 and becoming a non-factor
Warriors win G7

it would be the main talking point for the rest of the offseason - about how "rigged" it was in their favor and how "lucky" they were because of said circumstances. I could just see all these dudes saying 'but the Cavs proved to be the better team when both teams were at full-strength - it was only because of that suspension and those injuries why the Warriors came back and won'.

Watch it white man.

Warriors are an all time great team on the merit of winning 73 games alone, whether ya'll like it or not

They ran through the east with no problems and swept the conference finals. Then went up 2-1 before fatigue set in and Kerr made great adjustments. To me the dubs are the goat team to not win. But this years squad gotta go behind the other chip winning squads. As far as a multiple season stretch if either team is fortunate enough to win it all they might reenter the conversation.

You probably undervalue the importance of Andrew Bogut and how him being out leads to Varejao and Ezeli playing more minutes than they deserve in a tightly contested game 7. I do agree that the Warriors still had ample opportunities to win the series but it got a lot harder after those events took place.

Personally, after news broke of Green being suspended I immediately bet the ML on Cleveland taking the series because anyone who understand's Dray's importance and how LBJ usually responds in elimination games knows the Cavs were a virtual lock to win game 5, then going back home with the momentum where they previously blew the Warriors out, and anything can happen in a game 7 especially against one of the top 5 players to ever do it and a iso god in Kyre Irving. I do think the way they lost the series hurts them severely in comparison to the Bulls, but they are still an all time great team.

But you know what no one would be calling the Cavs, an all time great team bc ATGs find ways to win bc that's why they are considered ATGs
