here is the thing, I dont actually have a problem with OSU making it. I dont care.

The process is terrible.

IF we were under the OLD OG system it would be

osu - oregon in rose bowl
Florida state vs. alabama in the orange bowl

if FSU wins then the AP WOULD crown them as champs. The coaches are suspect and would've maybe chosen osu if they won, and FSU won.
If bama wins they would've gotten the nod over either osu oregon winner by both coaches and AP.

Theres no way TCU / Baylor would've gotten in a game that would earn them a right to have the national title discussion

the OG system, Alabama woulda gone to the Sugar Bowl to face the Big East champ. Since that doesnt exist, it actually coulda been either Baylor or TCU.

There was no ACC tie-in, outside of the Citrus Bowl, but Florida State prolly woulda gone there to play Baylor or TCU.

We clinched the Pac North some weeks back. What would have stopped us from taking the next couple of games on reserve mode and even losing but still knowing it doesnt matter cuz all we gotta do is when the Pac championship? Wheres the drama?? Wheres the week to week meaning? It wouldnt be the same

its funny.. y'all accept the fact that division winners get to go to the playoffs in the NFL.. Look at the sorry ass NFC South. Wheres the outrage in that? Thats what the NCAA doesnt want.

I have not seen any, not one fukkin bit of outrage in the NFL disaster of automatic conference winners, yet its drama out the ass for for this? smh

And really some sucker shyt when the committee itself proclaimed before they cast their first ballots that the Big XII not having a conference game wouldn't matter and not held against them. They're no different than coaches polls when the SID would fill out the ballots. Whole process was funny style

there had to have been some schools presidents wanting 8 just for this type of fukkery. Power 5 has to be all in. shyt, even a play-in game at this point. Having TCU ranked at 3 and having them think all they had to do was bust ISU ass just to Charlie Brown them was fukked up.

I do think they took the easy way out to avoid the TCU/Baylor fukkery

Power 5 champs with 3 at large so that a GOOD mid major can get an opportunity. I think we'll get it sooner than later. ESPN and their scheming asses need to push for it. If the "first round" needs to be at the higher seed's stadium, so be it.

Is bama and oregon and FSU NOT rewarded for their achivement thru the year? They get a virtual bye or warmup game until the second round of

For an 8 team playoff, it would have to be power 5 conference winners plus three at large. That provides for a mid major, or Notre Dame since they are independent, for conferences with at least 2 really worthy teams, and gives each conference champion it's legitimate shot. Seed 1-8 anyway you see fit from that point.
