you brehs do realize this shyt is arbitrary as fukk

there is an excellent chance Baylor could jump TCU or Ohio State can jump someone. None of this is set in stone.
said it last week

its arbitrary. :camby:

TCU goes from 3rd to 6th after winning by 52 points :russ:

and dont pretend that traveling fans didnt influence this either.

What's the problem?

This playoff was the best to happen to CFB
if they didnt release polls every week, there would be no issue

having this weekly thing and people making arbitrary decisions has killed this for me

I pine for the old days where we just had polls, and bowl tie-ins, and fukkery on New Years Day. Much better than this organized mess.

They stated at the beginning teams would be "reranked" every week.

This is much better

Man I was really hoping or Mizzou vs. Clemson in the Citrus Bowl...that could've been fun...why'd they take Minnesota?...nothing against them...they're solid...but they're boring as hell...Mizzou vs. Clemson with the possibility of Watson coming back is much more fun

I was actually hoping the same but I honestly think that they are choosing based on storylines.

This isn't tressels Osu team do u have any idea the speed Osu has on the outside?

That's the same defense from last season and they are slightly better. If they allowed Sammy Watkins to have a monster game on them catching & Tajh running for long Tds... That's cause for concern because Simms is faster than Boyd and Amari is a beast also and Saban is a better coach than Dabo.

Yeah I was expecting to see Clemson or Louisville in the citrus bowl. Is Watson gonna play in your bowl game?

I am shocked Clemson didn't get matched with Mizzo but since our AD was on the playoff committee I think he had a hand in that feeling the story line and chance to play a team other than SEC.

Nah Watson isn't going to play. He's gonna get the surgery and start his rehab early. I think it's the right choice... Let Nick S. get the 2nd string reps for next season. Like I mentioned on the Clemson site weeks ago.... I think Dabo saying Watson was playing in the bowl was just to give Clemson a chance to get a better bowl selection.

there is no rhyme or reason to it. Thats the issue

What doesn't make sense?

Ohio state had the greater body of work when you account for the entire season

They also made some emphatic statements about scheduling and stuff

You will be punished for have a nonconference schedule like Baylore

If you play horrible against bad teams in the worst Even though you're undefetead you are not number 1 and we will not let you play close to home

As a Clemson fan I can tell you that without Watson playing the fans are going to travel like normal. Now if it was Clemson v Mizzo they would be we know that Clemson's defense could carry that game with Mr. Thanksgiving doing just enough. Reason being is that Mizzo's offense isn't that good and Maulk isn't much better than Mr. Thanksgiving aka Cole bench. So it would come down to running the ball and less mistakes.

With Oklahoma... Well the story line is going to be about our DC Venables coaching against his former team. With Cole starting... It puts too much pressure on the Defense to score. Can wpppie win... Sure... But the team does not have faith in Cole to lead them... Hopefully that will change during bowl practice

OSU's defense this year is FAR different from last year. Personnel wise, the only defensive back from last year's team is Doran Grant, first team All Big Ten. Eli Apple, Vonn Bell, and Tyvis Powell were not starters all of last season (Vonn only played real time against Clemson).

Also, the defensive scheme used last year is much different than this year. Last year, we were without Bradley Roby for the bowl game because of an injury. As a result, they just played a soft zone coverage playing far off the ball. Sammy Watkins caught about 155 bubble screens in that game against OSU. This year, with a new secondary coach, OSU plays an up front press man coverage style, which has changed results dramatically.

Look at the pass defensive numbers compared to last year and tell me it's practically the same:
http://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/stat/opponent-passing-yards-per-game

This year OSU is 11th in passing yards allowed, last year OSU was 118th. That's a huge difference.
This year OSU is 6th in defensive passer rating, last year OSU was 83rd. Again, not the same defense.
