Long story short it boils down to marketability. Both studios see television as tainting or at the very least diluting the brand. Even in the MCU you're not seeing any of the AOS in any flicks please believe that. I'd be shocked if they ever even mention Coulson again and its looking real quiet for Daisy being in the Inhumans movie. At least DCEU seems to be moving with the Multiverse theory which makes some kind of sense.

U don't know his work? Watch We need to Talk about Kevin (thanks the thread from the film room) on Netflix when you have time. I've seen him in Perks of Being a Wallflower too. It's another movie I enjoyed him in but those two are the ones on the top of my head now. Like I said, if anyone I'm glad they chose someone who can act & not just be some pretty boy in tights (no homo since I'm talking to a guy).

We have been served some shytty DC movies because the actor didn't mesh with the role good enough to pull off the role to the audiences approval. And when it comes to comic movies they are being critiqued like ten times harder. Idk what they DC don't get about that.

The word is out on dude being a gay gateway device and the bati and switch bullshyt on the perks of being a wallflower.
Where they demean being friends into basically saying you are gay for even having friends.
So, fukk Ezra miller and all his gay propaganda movies all together.
We supposed to be watching superheroes.
Not no fukk'n fakkits,...whoever the idiot is who would play with masculinity on a dominant character is an idiot over at dc.
Plus, to stoopid to realize these are not just characters.
These are flagship characters in a marketed superhero age.
So, dc is dumb as fukk and continues to have the same issues they have in the book with the movies and it will hurt them for ignoring it.

Lets just agree to disagree. Like I said The Flash already touched on the different universes so its no need to include the TV version characters on the big screen IMO. I'm cool with it.

Dawg, these are fanboy properties.
You can not build a franchise by shytting on the fanboys of a superhero franchise. It just does not work.
As the actual fan base of these properties, work on word of mouth and if you infringe upon quality of these products the backlash globally stifles not just the product.
It damages the entire film house.
So, dc can continue to play stoopid all it wants.
Yet, we have seen when you ignore continuity and quality in fanboy base markets you are doomed to fail.

Those CW actors will look like little kids standing next to Batfleck and Cavil

IMO the only person that had a legitimate shot at appearing on the big screen was Armell before this season put a flattop on the show.

Listen... Batman was doing over a billon with no 3D ticket sales 8 years ago. I don't think it was a mistake to let Nolan do it the way he wanted to. Prior to Nolan taking control yes there were plans for Batman and Superman to appear on screen together but it didn't get off the ground. It was definitely something that had been discussed.

I'm gonna focus on this part specifically.

Batman should be doing those numbers....it's Batman.

The Avengers should not be cracking $1 billion under any circumstances. They have always been a B-tier team, at best.

The reason they are, is because Marvel took the time to build a connected universe.

So nah...."Dark Knight Rises" aside I wouldn't go as far as to say letting Nolan lock down Batman for 7 years was a mistake....but the MCU brand is so strong right now fukking "Antman" did $500 mill.

"Antman" did $500 mill.

Let that sink in.

So yeah....if you're telling me DC would rather be right where they are....as opposed to cranking out Z-tier character movies that break half a billy....I respectfully disagree.

Fred.

Not a fan of singular characters running around with different actors at the same time at all, just dilutes the brand and creates a mess :scust:

The CW shows were made and in development before they were committed on doing the movies with the other characters. If the shows were made after and not before the movies like The Marvel shows were they would have held off using certain characters on TV and outlined which characters can and can't be used and you wouldn't have this problem.

I remember reading that The Suicide Squad had to be removed from Arrow because of the movie and couldn't implement Harley Quinn into the series.

As a comic fan I am grateful for the forethought they put into MCU. It's just like an ideal state of actual comics with the way the story has weaved in and out of different titles from Netflix to TV to Movies with no reboots or retcons.

It's a love letter to real comic fans. It's the same editorial oversight that has made comicbook universes so great.

It's not perfect or life changing it's just well crafted and we'll thought out. I give them their props for pulling it off.

WITH CAPTAIN AMERICA THOR GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY IRON MAN ANT MAN.. shyt's crazy Breh. They had sold all of their best characters (Spider, X Men). These niqqas made somethin from nothin. I collected comics in the 90s and I didn't know shyt about the Mandarin til IM3
