I thought Fox's Quicksilver stole the show 2 summers ago as probably the best stand alone action sequence that summer, and one of the illest introductions to a new powerset in comics (akin to Nightcrawler's debut in X2). I thought that may have made it a tough act to follow for Disney, but to their credit they opted to have their version more interwoven in their plot, to differentiate. Then they killed him off maybe in part so they wouldn't have to bother with that type of situation again.
So now with DC, i do think good/charismatic acting will be crucial b/c audiences are already going to have 3 comic movies (DoFP, AoU and Apocalypse) to desensitize them to the actual awe of the whole 'speedster' concept on the big screen. Hell both of the Quicksilvers had their own type of charm that won over the audiences in my theater. They were sad when the latter breh died lol
So this actor will have to bring a lot of life into the role, a type of flare to really get people invested in him. I think WW did a good job of that in the little screen time she had in BvS.
