no offense man you say your a comic fan but you seem more like a MCU Stan or a casual fan .
Do you actually read marvel comics? Also a shared universe isn't the end all be all.
By the way marvel has recast the hulk Howard stark and war machine in the MCUbut yup marvel would never recast or have multiple people play the same role
They recast when they HAVE to.
I collected comics in the 90s. I still have a couple long boxes.
There's this thing called the internet. I have been able to keep up with the general current events in the past several years without spending $50/month on hard copies.
You callin me out? What you wanna quiz me about?
Iron Man to me in 95 was like Plastic Man or Hercules. I was aware of him but I didn't give a shyt really. If you say you did I'd give it a 50/50 chance of that being bullshyt.
That's the whole point of what I'm sayin about MCU. They could prolly give Wonder Man a dope flick. But the other guys are struggling with Superman. Superman.
but yup marvel would never recast or have multiple people play the same role

Elseworld would be having Robin or dikk as Batman or Kara as Superwoman and Superman doesn't exist. Clark and Bruce's origins are the same as the comic book, even Lex with his OG red hair, it's just that Bruce is in his prime already and we're not going through origin stories. The stories may have changed to keep things "fresh" but it's still the same characters. It would be saying TDK Joker is Elseworld because he didn't fall into acid and wears makeup or Bane because he didn't grow bigger and have venom pumping into him. The MCU can get away with this because this is the first time we've seen these characters outside of Hulk and Spiderman, which are currently struggling to find their solo ground.
