If I could trust them to have the intellectual stamina to break down this bozo, Id be fine.
The problem is that they are bozos themselves
Vivek was on the platform before and they had Tezlyn there:
Honestly she should have been fired right then and there. Her University of Phoenix pedigree was on full display as she got in front of a Presidential candidate and spent 15 minutes of a 25 minute segment talking about his High School student council career.
The ancestors are definitely looking on in disgust at these buffoons. Is it her job to make these people look good or something? Why is she even there and how did she get there?
This is my only issue. They don't have the wherewithal to push back on this snake oil. Tezlyn was fukking embarrassing how she tried to break him down. I know what she was trying to do, but she did it in the most remedial way possible. I haven't been able to take anything she says seriously outside of prison and criminal justice reform since the first interview.
Having worked in radio before, I know sometimes you fly by the seat of your pants, but it was clear they only spent the 24 hours up to the interview, prepping for it. They could easily consult an Angela Rye or Nina Turner who I'm sure they have on speed dial for some talking points.
But Breakfast Club should interview everyone who has either something meaningful to say or potentially has the ability to impact lives. I'm not sure what it says about the state of black America, but it's one of the biggest platforms for black America and dude wants to enact policies that will be detrimental to black America. Most black people don't know him, Leonard Leo, Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, and a bunch others that will colloborate with Trump to make America a very different place next year...and most of us won't even know why.
I'm for more information, not less.
