I completely forgot the Poltergeist was the most recent to the list of remakes. It must have been pretty bad cause those commercials left tv with the quickness after its release. So, did anyone see it to be able to tell us about it?

Is the Fog that Tom Welling movie? And what's the movie with the green eyed black dude from Grey's Anatomy? I think he was in a remake...

It wasn't ? Oh. Well was it good?

I don't think it was lol. It was,I actually watched it when it was released, it has aged so far so good. It has the typical characters most horror films have, although it had a interesting story for it to be a slash/horror film. It felt more like a suspense/thriler because what's going on in the movie isnt necessarily what you think the characters are facing. It has a "occult" evil ritual type dialogue Along with characters trying to understand how to survive when they dont have a ex machina or "solution". Good use of cgi, just the right amount. Tho movies with "cabins" "woods" "young adults" have been out before I was born. It was different in how it rewrote how to use elements that you see In movies where supernatural "illuminati" type cast were used. In regular ol "cabin in the woods" slasher films of old. It was, more or less. The same setup. Not saying it was wrong. But Cabin in The Woods changed it up. Replaced the super tough, unkillable villain, with a rather supernatural evil one.

I haven't seen it mentioned, maybe because people liked the remake or just don't think that highly of the original, but the Salems Lot mini series with Rob Lowe was :trash:

That's one of my top 5 horror movies and the TNT remake was slow, boring, and not the least bit scary.
