Convinced alot of y'all didn't even watch the movie

I watched the movie, and they made it painfully obvious that Finn's only purpose was to get laughs and make the white characters look even more impressive by comparison:


"Cool, look at Poe fly that TIE fighter! And awwww, he taught Finn how to shoot and even gave him a name, how cute!"

"Ha ha, Finn is drinking out of a pig trough, how disgusting!"

"Wow, look how tough Rey is, she beat up those thugs! And she beat up Finn too, funny!"

"Wow, Rey's such a great pilot! And she even managed to make up for Finn's jammed gun by moving the ship into position!"

"Rey's so smart, she's fixing the ship! Ha ha, Finn's so dumb, he doesn't know which tool is which!"

"Quick thinking on Rey's part: She saved Finn's useless carcass from the rathtars!"

"Good thing Han Solo managed to save Finn from that stormtrooper. What was he thinking, trying to use a lightsaber?"

"Finn's so silly, the Force doesn't work that way. You tell him, Han Solo!"

"Rey's so cool, she used the Jedi mind trick and escaped by herself! No need for Finn, as usual, LOL."

"Rey beat Kylo Ren and saved the day! Good thing she is powerful, unlike Finn, who is face down in the snow."

There's no movie without him though and it's been stated that the character wasn't written with race in mind, Boyega was just the best actor that auditioned for it.

Without spoiling it fully, he's essential to the whole story from the beginning.

Lol anyone who expected a black Jedi to be the main character in this is real slow. Lol.

I don't get how everyone is getting so riled up about this...Samuel L Jackson played a Jedi knight Mace Windu in the prequal....people seem to ignore that a black man was already a Jedi.
