our ancestors died so we could have the right to vote.

Naw, they died because this country was built on institutional racism and in 2016 much hasn't changed as we are still murdered in the streets of america by racist Cacs.
It's cool that almost a 100 years after slavery was abolished someone signed a bill that enforced our right to participate in the political process , but let's not equate 400 years of genocide to people fighting for the right to vote in a system that still does not have our best interest at heart. The right to vote as free citizens of the country should have been the bare minimal

TARIQ ADVOCATES VOTING LOCALLY.

HE SAID DONT VOTE FOR PRES
BUT IF YOU DO
VOTE INDEPENDENT.

:mindblown:

What the Presidential Cabinet provides locally?
Department of Education-administer and coordinate most federal assistance to local US schools
Department of Housing- inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all. Strengthen the housing market to bolster the local economy
Department of Health and Human services - Coordinate health benefits and guidelines at your local hospital.
Department of Labor - responsible for occupational safety, wage and hour standards, unemployment insurance benefits, reemployment services for local employees
Department of Commerce - Provide market research and invest hundreds of millions of dollars into local businesses continuity.

Tariq does not know what the hell he's talking about when it comes to this issue. You folks need to study how the federal executive branch work.

Considering your local politicians have more of an effect on your lives day to day than our president.

Who gives a fukk whose in office. Same shyt happening regardless
That's not how it works at all.
The difference between Trump on office and Sanders in office is so vast, you can't even see the fullness of the divide.
I can tell who remembers the Bush years, and who doesn't.

I'd vote for the green party before I don't vote at all but it's a legitimate strategy.

Demonstrating that we aren't going to automatically vote for one party or the other is just as important is demonstrating that we will actually vote ( when you market to us)
Nah. "Not voting" as a form of protest does nothing but add a dummy vote to the opposition.

Bernie's stance against reparations turned me off...hell, if the fukkin slave owners got reparations from the government after losing their "work force"....how the hell can Blacks getting a check be seen a "divisive"? Fukk all that.:stopitslime:
Why are you nikkas suddenly up-in-arms about reparations?
Slavery ended 152 years ago, when in any of those years has anyone ever promised to grant the descendants of the enslaved Africans reparations?
All of a sudden, in an election essentially between an actual fascist, a moderate-conservative, and a democratic-socialist, people are acting like reparations are a hot-button issue.
They aren't. They never have been. shyt like mass-incarceration, police brutality, US foreign intervention, gun violence, and economic woes, are the main issues.

I Iearned my lesson with Obama. We had a black Democrat in office for 8 years and he got fukk all done for us. Under his presidency black people were being lynched for the world to see and he did nothing about it.

Now we're told to put our faith in an 80 year old Jew and a 75 year old Cac bytch who called black people "super predators" :martin:

I really hope Sanders wins just so you negros can get the wakeup call you never received under Obama :wow:
I hope Trump wins, Let's watch him "Make America Great Again " :wow:

Give these cacs what they want so when it fails I can :troll: on unprecedented levels :wow:

A check written by a lobbyist has wayyyyyy more impact than any vote I could cast.
and the only person not getting checks from lobbyists is bernie, while lobbyists from prisons and wall street throw hillary checks by the hundreds of thousands

tells me all i need to know, and who ill be voting for

voting is pointless...vote for what? lol...nikkas still gonna be poor and disenfranchised, what are we voting for....I was born when Reagan was in office....now were on Obama....and the east of buffalo look exactly the same...the only thing that change is the amount of BM dead or in jail
What kind of point is this?
I can tell almost no one on the Coli has a clue about just how impactful political participation is. Voting is literally the difference between life and death for some people, life and freedom for others, the difference between a couple thousand more people dying in a imperialist war and shaky peace, the difference between 100,000 more drug convictions and a cut in our prison population, etc.
Unless you're out there, actively doing something greater than voting that will bring greater change, vote.
