KOBE IS BETTER, BECAUSE HIS FOCUS IS ON WINS, NOT STATS

This is easily the most delusional Kobestan narrative possible.

Kobe has five titles because the Lakers big man outplayed the other team's best player in all 5 Finals. Not because missed shots magically translate into wins via some sort of eight-dimensional chess.

Nah I'm not allowing that. What you're doing is the same shyt Kobe heads do, using the fact that Kobe won twice without Shaq to reinvent the real time sentiment of when Kobe and Shaq were together...

Shaq was not just the best player on the team in their run, he was arguably the best player on ball period, that's who Bean was playing with. We're not re-imagining the real time perspective just because Kobe later won two without Shaq, the years with Shaq still actually happened...

And we not reimagining the real time sentiment of the KD/Steph run just because Steph won twice without Durant. When they were together the prevailing sentiment was that Durant was the Warriors best player. I'm not with this revisionist shyt...
This isn't reimagining

The Warriors literally played better with Curry and KD off than with KD on and Curry odd :dead:

Real time the sentiment wasn't that universal - plenty of people still viewed that as Steph's team. The offense ran through Steph... the same way the Lakers ran through Shaq.

What "alpha"/true number 1 doesn't even have their team's offense run through him?

It's not up for debate. KD himself literally jokingly called himself the servant for a reason - it was still Steph's offense. KD was meant to replace Harrison Barne's role of being a 2 way scoring wing... a role that Wiggins then replaced.

If Wiggins were to averaged 26 this finals and won Finals MVP... would that make Wiggins the number 1 option?

Like cmon cuz, this isn't even hating on KD. KD literally want their because of the offense they ran - they didn't rebuild it around him, they just plugged him in. At worst it's an even between the two

IF KOBE PLAYED ON HAND PICKED SUPERTEAMS HIS ENTIRE PRIME HE WOULD HAVE 7-8 RINGS MINIMUM

It's hilarious to watch Kobestans blame "fatigue" for the Lakers' pathetic performance in 2011, then claim they somehow would have quadrupled that run by some sort of magic dust without even being able to name the players involved.

Considering how bad Kobe's 2004 and 2013 superteams went, you're probably better off not making assumptions. A Kobe-Wade-Bosh squad is winning 1 ring at most. A Kobe-Kyrie squad is going to be lucky to get out of the first round.

The lack of self-awareness in this statement. :mjlol:

Damn...without that GS run, Bron might really have 6 or 7 and heads would actually be talkin bout he's the GOAT :wow:

Without Bron teaming up with two top 5 draft picks from his class, there would be no GS run (at least the Durant phase of it) and Bron probably wouldn't have even gotten 4 Rings.

In some ways Bron's longevity hurts his legacy....how you play this many years as "the king" and only have 4 rings? :jbhmm:
I've always said the longer Bron plays and continues not to win championships the more it hurts people's perception of him (not necessarily mine).

It'll help his cumulative stats though.

“Only 4 rings” :dead:

He could have 0 like Ewing, Barkley, or just 1 like some other all time greats.

Only in the nba is someone who proclaimed themselves to be the greatest of all time down on for just having “4 rings” :russ:

Fixed.

Don't act like Twitter Fingers didn't allow for the nitpicking. You call yourself the greatest at anything and you subject yourself to scrutiny in whatever field it is your calling yourself the greatest at.

Saying you the GOAT in practice, or talking shyt to a peer is different than using an international platform to proclaim it.

Kobe has 5 in 20 years and was riding Shaq's coattails for 60% of his rings. Kareem has 6 in 21 and was Magic's old sidekick for the last three.

Now how many do they have as the best players on their teams? :jbhmm:

Kobe averaged 15 PPG on 36 FG% in the finals and his team still won :mjlol:

The Western Conference Finals were the Finals during that Three-Peat run (you should know that!) and there was several times Shaq's fat ass had to sit in crunch time, cuz his ass couldn't hit a free throw. Kobe was MVP for at least one of those Western Conference Finals.
