You need influence for better bases but to build your current one up you need materials bags from stuff like sheds and construction sites

Every single game has bugs it just depends on how much does the gameplay make up for it. $30 for a game that will be patched for free is not a bad deal at all, although in about 2 months it will be on sale for $15.
