But he was the main reason for the W's. And he hurt Kylo
True but stretch your brain a little man. Is the Finn we got the one that was advertised in the trailers for the last year? The answer to that is mixed. Some people were looking for a more prominent Mace Windu type of dude. No bullshyt, all killer. Finn is the type of personality we already know. He is the Kevin Hart role. We were looking more for a straight-man type of role. I am not so upset but "Droid please" is only one of many examples of them using dialogue to make Finn admit he is the odd man out and the comic relief. Rey's femininity is brought up by everyone but her. Finn's race is only brought up by himself. If you can't see it, maybe you aren't a brother but we are sensitive to this stuff because it happens all the time in hollywood productions.

the anger is understandable being that he was built up to be the first lead black jedi and turned out to be a simp padawan space garbage man liar.

now, after seeing the movie i think the anger was overblown but it is definitely understandable after all that marketing and the nonstop Ls he took throughout the movie. with that said his character has a tremendous room for growth but he if wakes up and continues his mission to be simp lord/master than :camby:

People just thought we were going to get a cool-as-ice black lead in a star wars film. A hero whose character's main function wouldn't be comic relief but someone who was respected in the universe as a powerful character with his own agency, not a bumbling runaway who always seems to get upstaged. We just for once wanted to have our cake and eat it too. If Finn was overpowered and adept at nearly everything and Rey was the bumbling co-pilot/sidekick then people around this board would be like :blessed: but women's groups would call her a stereotype. Best believe that. At the end of the day money talks and they probably just figured two jedi leads would be derivative and best to sacrifice one to boost the other. Half of everyone is female and women liked seeing the overpowered girl kicking guy ass while only 12 percent of the US population is black, even less so sci fi fans so they made Finn the lovable loser who ends in a coma and Rey the goddess who gets to meet luke and pursue her destiny.

One a second viewing it wasn't so bad and the film has enough pace to easily overlook some of the more humiliating moments for Finn. John did great with what he was given. I think Rey will have her own problems in the next episode or face some real backlash from fans. Finn is pretty much rock bottom and on the mat right now. I hope can only go up from here.

But was that their hopes or what was shown? The ONLY thing they that we knew going in was that he was a stormtrooper that deserted and at some point, he would wield the lightsaber. That's exactly what we got. You really expected him to be a Jedi and stormtrooper in the first movie? Why does he have to be a bada$$? How many bada$$es have their been in Star Wars, throughout the entire saga? Obi Wan in the PT and Palpatine. History of the saga shows that there are no true bada$$es but instead, people that shine during different moments. Finn was that. He was also an everyman.

He had comedic lines because he had more lines than everyone in the movie. He came up with every plan, from getting out Poe, keeping BB-8 from getting snatched up by stormtroopers, saving Rey, destroying the DS3...what more do you want? He was thrown in extreme situations and came out on top. He's a loser for losing a final fight? Him being able to hold his own with Ben Solo and landing some hits is what wore him down enough for Rey to get the upper hand. Rey and Finn were equal, or do you forget "that was some amazing shooting." He wasn't even trained for air combat but picked up on shooting them down very quickly. Finn accomplished more in this movie than Luke, Han, Chewy AND Leia combined in IV.

Lol okay bruh. Finn was the star period. Dude was funny but he was not silly.

He was Kevin Hart:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

fukk outta here with the "sensitivity" shyt:camby:. If they made the guy like Jar Jar ie. silly, I would agree with you. But he wasn't he was just naturally funny. One again Finn was the main reason the Resistance won. He also SAVED Rey.:wtf:

Also, I literally don't recall Rey's femininity in the movie at all:wtf:.

Who the fukk brought up Finn's race or Mace Windu's race in the movies:wtf:

The good side of the common stereotype he always plays. He is a BMF and his wallet in the star wars universe is the electrum purple saber.
:dame:Let's not downplay how important, significant and powerful of a character he was

Ren also demonstrated extreme mental fortitude, she resisted Kylo's psychic attacks.

A hurt Mike Tyson should be able to put the work on an strong, though completely untrained opponent. Ultimately in every duel we've witnessed pure talent/force ability doesn't give you a chance against a Jedi Master/Sith Lord.
But Rey was trained a lil bit. I feel you to a degree though

Some Nikkas didn't like Kylo/Ben????:mindblown:

How can anyone not be incredibly interested where his character goes?:rudy:

Dude is already very powerful.
Hasn't completed his training yet. So he hasn't reached his ceiling.
He is struggling w/ internal conflict. Just like Anakin. The scene w/ Han was heartbreaking.

And oh by the way he's a skywalker and single handily destroyed Luke's setup.

But one of y'all wanted him to be killed off:dead:

He was weak as f*ck breh and he was a b*tch. After Rey sonned and beat his azz what is there to look forward to from dude? You can't even take this cat serious anymore. And that's more about the writing than the character itself. They neutered and butchered him so bad he would've been better off being killed off at the end of the movie imo. Darth Vader was an unstoppable force for two entire movies. He literally f*cked everybody up who got in his way. They could've made Kylo sensitive and conflicted but once he took off that mask and got the beats put on him by two newbies who never even held a lightsaber it was bushes status for dude:camby:you can't have your main villain go out like that.. especially if you got a trilogy coming
