They even we're clever enough to make sure they showed how strong it was and even had a scene with Han like damn that's strong ! Out of all the flaws in the movie Kylo losing that fight makes sense after all the damage he took plus he was mentally hurt after killing Han

Maybe because they did a shyt job showing how bad he was injured. Even knowing that Kylo Ren was badly injured, I still thought he should had won both of those fights based on how well he was still wielding that light saber. A couple seconds of interruption of him punching his wound and a little blood splatter was not convincing enough.
