Not an MRA breh, they suffer from low testosterone too. Not ranting either, just fascinated at how excited some folks are about this film. It just looks bad and reeks of propaganda. To be fair, SW has always had a social message. What stands out to me about this one is, them pairing up a breh with a white chick as they fight against the establishment. Noteworthy because I often read quotes from feminists disparaging white cisgendered males as if they're allies with Black people or as if they're Black themselves Sorry, but we're not allies, never was, never will be. Also it's a bit sad to me how this current nerd culture lives so vicariously through fantasized entertainment in the form of superhero films. I picture posts on Jezebel lauding the film for being inspirational. If you're excited about this film after the trailer, I think you've got significant disconnect and self esteem issues. Yes the trailer looked that bad. Gotta be a basement at mom's house virgin nerd to find the trailer appealing.
Looks like there is dozens of millions of basement dwelling virgin nerds then :whoo:

You also have quite the fascination with "low testosterone" :wrist:Do you even lift bruh?

I feel like they are gonna, low key, recycle the old story by playing out a, what if, scenario....What if Luke chose the dark side....that's what we're gonna get in Kylo Ren

I see another death star in the poster and everything...

Supreme Leader Snoke is to Kylo as Yoda was to Luke...

It's pretty much a modern day remake/reboot of A New Hope with new faces and some old. I expect the trilogy to pretty much mirror the first three with some alterations. The fanbase won't ever let the series properly evolve.

In Star Wars: The Force Awakens we think Pip Andersen is playing…
Last night we were in Hollywood to see the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer projected theatrically. It was a great time and we got to see the trailer played on the big screen four or five times. I didn’t expect to hear anything interesting from it.

After the event, we started talking to this person who knew who we were, and this person was happy to meet us. This person then started dropping some clarifying bits we hadn’t heard before, along with photographs. No, I didn’t get the pics, sorry.

This person said that Pip Andersen is playing Finn’s best friend in the First Order, and he has a number just like FN-2187 (Finn), but this person couldn’t recall it. They did say the character’s nickname is “Slip.”

“Pip is Slip?!” We both pretty much said this at the same time.

I thought the person was kidding, but they were not. Apparently some of the First Order Stormtroopers do take on nicknames. If Pip is indeed “Slip,” I think we can see that his name has a lot to do with his past performance as a Stormtrooper and his eventual fate in the film.

For a very long time we heard that Pip did some additional mocap work on the film outside his actual character he was cast to play. We had heard that he was Finn’s buddy on the assault on the village and he didn’t make it. We had seen concept art depicting the bloody hand print on Finn’s helmet and then it was actually shown in the teaser confirming we were on the right track.

Is this the final piece of the puzzle? Will he even be named on screen? I’m not sure this one will be solved soon. Perhaps he was only called “Slip” on the set as a joke? Either way, this informant seemed pretty set that Pip Andersen is playing a Stormtrooper named Slip in Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

Look, I'm just as excited for Batman v. Superman as anyone and they are iconic heroes but Star Wars is a different animal compared to anything else in fiction. It's damn near 40 years in it's run and has never taken a step back from the public eye. Toys, video games, comics, etc. The prequels. It's been ten years since a proper film, like 30 years since we've seen Han and them, I mean people are not only lining up to see it but will see it twice, 5 times, 10 times.. who knows. There are guys that have dedicated their whole life to this shyt. Repeat viewings will be aplenty. BvS will do very well in movie standards. But Star Wars is bigger than the movies. It's life to some of these people.

it's not like we really have a say in the matter. we're gonna have to digest whatever movie they decide to give us.

although i will say that as of right now this movie looks a lot like ANH. almost feel like it's gonna hit the exact same beats. hero stumbles upon remote planet, meets other hero who yearns for more, both seek out adventure, guided by older mentor, the bad guys have a super weapon, main villain is basically a junior vader.

and that my friends will be the last time i say anything negative about this movie.

enjoy the piff.

Trailer looked laughably terrible. In this day age of forced feminism, it's not coincidence that the lead Black character is Driving Ms.Daisy status to the white b!tch. Swear it's difficult to not laugh at all the low testosterone fanboys excited about this. Guess I'm getting older, cuz I'd be embarrassed to admit falling for the Disney hype machine.

:mindblown: WHAT THE fukk???? the movie isnt even out yet. :dahell:
