The reason why most Euro brehs/cacs can do good American accents is because they've been mostly exposed to American media for their whole lives.

Also we have multiple trained Black American actors that went to Juliard, Tisch, Yale, and other schools. I don't like the notion that Black Americans can't act compared to the Brits.
Nope, its its actually because unlike americans anglish people travek thr world, english people can do american, australia, indian accents because we travel

But majority of acting roles go to black americans

The majority of Black Americans are ADOS, so that should be the case. The question is are non ADOS blacks over represented in this particular field? Since that's what we're talking about...

Black Americans are the only ones that should be telling Black American stories like in Get Out, which is what Samuel L. Jackson was referring to when he made his comments.
So you dont think jordan peele peele write get out? Seeing as he is mixed and not black.

Do you think get out is a situation exclusive to american blacks

lol at the irony of Spike putting that scene in his show when he should be running his own shop and putting out 40 projects a year of all budget ranges because he knows how to stretch a dollar to make a film pop off

Yet he still can’t do shyt without help.

Don’t want Brits and aussies all in these films then run your own shop like Tyler or like what Jordan is about to have in a couple of years

These Brits (white, black and Asian) study the craft and can play damn near any role, come here and eat and then spend a summer doing theater just for the fukking certain acclaim, come back here and eat some more

Spike has been directing longer than most of these foreign actors have been alive so he had more than enough time to influence an entire generation of actors.

People catching feelings when the serious roles are getting scooped up but had no issue with 30 years of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, Dolph Lunderen and Steven Seagal (who is barely American) wilding out in action movies.

London is just one city, its impossible for black people in one city to be a threat to black actors across america

I was never talking about just London, but non ADOS actors taking (for lack of a better word) ADOS jobs in America. Meh. I'm not too interested in this topic anymore. Good talk though.

Yeah sure youll get a few english actors with bad accents but the majority are convincingly good
not at all accents, they are/were butchering the southern accent TWD every sunday

americans would get exceedingly better at accents if the class of the filmmaking world didn't run through america. there aren't many roles in foreign films that americans would spend time pursing, save for some potential prestige/indie award bait role, over the breadth of roles available here. you saying brits are better like it's an inherent gift as opposed to needing to be good out of necessity is a weak talking point - and this isn't just for breaking into america, but also widening the amount of work they can get in europe. if you can do a good italian accent/speak italian, french, etc. then that's even more 2nd tier countries to get work in

lastly, to that point living in europe where you're exposed to more accents in depth makes it easier, plenty of americans can do a decent accent, but inevitably they get nit picked and the small nuances you wouldn't think to do unless you've spent extensive time living with/near or talking to those people are going to be overlooked.
