Yeah who are they actually:
  1. Idris Elba
  2. Daniel Kaluuya
  3. Letitia Wright
  4. John Boyega
  5. Chiwetel Ejiofor
  6. Naomie Harris
  7. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje
  8. Thandie Newton
  9. Cynthia Erivo
  10. Lennie James
  11. David Oyelowo
  12. Carmen Ejogo
  13. Gugu Mbatha-Raw
I gleaned this mostly from this list:
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls023100502/

And while the list is long I only listed people I recognized. Yeah, it's not that many people doing it big, they are mostly getting 'character' actor parts.
I also looked at top Black actor lists and yeah, they are dominated by Americans. This is barely a problem actually.
Some people on this list like thandie and gugu are not even black, cant include mixed people to prove a point about black people

Nah, actually it's not.
The post I quoted was saying that "AAs should be the ones telling AA stories" as opined by Samuel L. Jackson. I pointed out that the writer & director of the story made the casting decision for the lead. It was his story and he told it.
So, unless you're going as far as saying that Jordan Peele is not African American, I don't see the point of your post.
Point is jordan is not black

But it WAS his story to tell, he told it, with the use of a english actor.

Whats the big deal?

If it was just a black thing, sure.

But it isn't. British and Australian actors are and have been taking everyones roles for the longest.

The fact of the matter is, especially when it comes to the British, acting is looked at more seriously as a craft at a younger age. Most British actors are products of great stage schools from a young age. Their ability and professionalism is just beyond the average American actor who can't even afford to learn the craft properly.

Combine that with the fact that a ten year veteran British actor with an extensive overseas resume and tremendous ability is going to be considerably cheaper than an American actor of the same quality.
I'm not sure why this thread went 3 pages beyond this post but :yeshrug:

Tyler Perry is a Homosexual and a part time c00n, you think its a coincidence that HIM out of the other Black directors/producers that came before him is the one thats got a studio and so much power? The dude that does the Empire show is next, he's the same thing as Perry.
Tyler perry is the equivalent of a mixtape rapper blowing up and then giving back . He was out there grinding in the black theatre circuit breh

These nikkas will keep burying their hand in the sand and yelling divineness until it affects them

Them nikkas ain’t my nikkas cuz them nikkas ain’t from here

Kind of the opposite of them nikkas who ain’t have shyt to say about the white bytch curating the African American museum

I would have given that job to a US Black even if they were under qualified
The bolded is facts. All cultures do that, especially white people

People understand that more, importantly- its a matter of principle. This changes when it comes to aframs for whatever reason
