It's going to sell well because it's Spiderman and the game will hopefully be piff. My argument is the merits of saying it was designed for ps5. It's not, it never was and that isn't a bad thing since it wasn't. Just don't tell me that you believe in generations then turn around and sell me a game heavily rooted with ps4 tech in mind. It's basically a cross gen game that is only coming out for the ps5. I'm fine with that.

They needed a launch game to sell the PS5 so they took the DLC and packaged it as a full game.

It should have enough content to justify its existence. We should not be surprised if we find out it was once dlc though.

It was always stand alone DLC, it was talked about a longgggg time ago.
Now it's remastered stand alone DLC/expansion/ spin off whatever you want to call it.
If people are hyped to purchase a ps5 for it more power to them. If it's not available at launch for ps4 players

If it's being released as a standalone game and getting compared to lost legacy then you should expect a full length game. I doubt they'd be hyping up and releasing this as a standalone if it was essentially a 2-3 hour long experience like most DLC.
Nothing wrong with it starting out as dlc and then becoming a full blown spinoff.
