I'll say it PS5 and XBox Series x are both disappointing when comparing the release to the older models. The jump from xbox one to xbox series x and ps4 to ps5 doesn't feel significant. Games these days have all the graphics in the world and I get bored rather quickly when playing a game. This the worst video generation of my lifetime for a number of reasons.

I thought I was just getting bored playing games now, but I pulled out my xbox 360 and to be honest I've had so much joy playing older games.

Only reason I got a PS5 is cuz I got it for free.

Even then I don’t see much that interests me.

This can easily last me til 2030, I would feel no need to run out and cop a PS6 but I’m a casual.

I would think Sony would be worried most people are becoming casuals and these parents will just get their kids a PS5 this decade instead of the PS6.

Yeah shyt was good while it lasted but tech is starting to peak with gaming imo and a lot of Xbox Sony shyt looks the same, mainly starting with the ps4 era imo. Plus they’re trying hard to digitize the space anyway might as well switch to pc and just have access to everything

Back then gaming was still seen as mostly something to grab imaginations and push the boundaries of what people could make with advanced hardware that now had games playing like the way people always imagined them, I feel like gameplay overall for many games was perfectly tuned then.
Now I feel like the culture around gaming is pressed too much on the online aspect of streaming and monitization. That means innovation will be lacking in the space.

I agree 100%, I really wonder what they can really improve on that would make a big jump to the next generation. I feel like these gaming consoles have reached the limit on what they can do. I got gamepass and PlayStation plus and honestly after beating certain games it’s nothing to play.
