But this isn't happening though. GTA VI will not require a PS5 pro. Idk what the article talking about. Optimized for PS5 pro/better sure but not required.

It won’t be “required” therefore it won’t be a huge upgrade.

We already went through this with PS4 pro. Most games just got a resolution bump and that’s it. Most console gamers give zero shyts about native resolution.

This thread is talking about a next generation of consoles tho.

I don’t think a PS5 pro would be “bad” for consumers. I just don’t see a PS5 pro in 2024 being beneficial for pretty much anyone involved. From sony, to rockstar to sony stans a ps5 pro in 2024 sounds like some dumb shyt

Gamers seem to be the only demographic that actually complains at the options for better hardware. It's not like a better SKU existing forces current system owners to upgrade. It would be like someone with a GTX 970 complaining about NVIDIA releasing newer graphics cards and wanting that to be the base model for years before a new one comes out. A PS5 Pro doesn't effect PS5 owners at all.

You know how most games have performance mode vs fidelity?

Pro would make them all run with both basically.. If that's not worth $400-700 then don't get it. But those who have having to make that choice will be selling their 5 and putting the money towards a pro.
