There's a big difference between something coming to PC years later vs something launching day 1 on PC while their base console is in third place. Not to mention this expansion makes no mention on what exactly. Legacy titles? smaller indies? GAAS? I'd say this statement sounds better than rumors of releasing games directly on your main competitor lol.

Have several seats sir.
no difference for patient gamers. I'm still waiting for Miles Morales to hit the right price

MS games are Day 1 on PC
how is that helping them?
Starfield did pretty well for them being day 1 on PC
Sony knows their bread & butter is not subscriptions
MS's #s are floundering
I don't know how many times this has to be reiterated
Microsoft pivoted to subscriptions because they were floundering not the other way around.

If you as a company are going to offer a product it should be the best product you can put together. You don't offer a product and purposely make it inferior to protect a different product. Instead of tying to make PlayStation+ the best streaming service possible they're halfheartedly offering it raising the price on it and have company executives saying people really don't want it. It's almost as if they're copying their competition in ways as some sort of half measure just to say they did it.

You joking right??? Microsoft has endless amount of multiplayer games from Halo Forza Gears Grounded Flight Simulator on down. What has Sony done? shyt can they at least make a FPS???

And neither Halo nor Gears are relevant today. So who even gives a fukk about these games outside die hard xbots living in the past?
Speaking of Forza... :mjlol:, GT has always been the far more popular franchise with an actual competitive scene, unlike Forza.

Lol @ Flight Sim even being mentioned here.

I'd wager most gamers aren't patient gamers. Gamers want stuff now and will pay for it even in early access. Average person can't weather FOMO.

This strat of dropping Sony games on PC months/years later with no clear pattern only makes no difference to those who aren't really big fans.

By being behind Nintendo in the gaming industry in revenue. I don’t understand what you arguing? Consoles as a development cost and a development cycle is close to being over. Microsoft just seen the writing on the wall before Sony. Nintendo been seen it by going mobile. People are not sitting in front of tvs like they use to it’s facts. Sony will never reach PS2 levels etc… due to technology being abundant. Nobody cares for blu rays dvds any more.

We moving toward digital and cloud play as you go
Yet somehow them subscriptions numbers have plateaued and aren't growing either :jbhmm:

This is the story yall evolved to now,

Microsoft wasn’t always putting their games on Pc day one and it was still “i’ll get it on pc”

RUMORS microsoft MIGHT bring games that have been out for half a decade to switch = “Microsoft going third party”

We have posts of you specifically claiming sony would NEVER put their games on PC. Not day one, not later.

Once it was clear that wasn’t true you pivoted to saying well only a few of them will come 3 or 4 years after they came out in order to sell more consoles to pc fans.

Now in 2024 Sony first big game is a day and date PC release and you clowns still scrambling to find a stan hill to stand on

nikkas crazy :wow:

Duh, they started doing that like in 2016 and then that's when "I'll just get it on PC" started.

What is this big game from Sony in 2024 is day and date with PC?:ohhh:

Yet and still Sony is shadowing their movies into PC, Mobile, Subscriptions. They might not be doing everything right but their competitor is still following their moves. Nothing stopped Sony from in the PS3 or PS4 era doing this stuff. Just like they copied Xbox Live. Sony could have made PlayStation Network before Microsoft even thought of Xbox Live.

Product hype cycle means something. If they put those games on PC day 1 they can get more revenue from sales there vs making people wait a year or more. If I waited that long I can wait till I find a cheap key for $20-$30. If I'm hyped to play day 1 and given the opportunity then I'm paying $70 for that. Odds are if I have a beefy gaming PC I'm not a Sony ecosystem buyer even if I have a PlayStation.

At some point they'll realize they won't lose much if anything offering release parity.
Honestly I don’t think they should do day and date. They shouldn’t canabalize console sales. I do think pc releases should be shorter though like 3 to 6 months after console release to maximize pc sales better.

If you have a PS console you should be able to play exclusives before pc.
