Y'all gonna be mad when Sony makes their own launcher tho

I fully expect them to by next gen. I hate epic launcher cause the launcher is ass all around. I have no problem with blizzard.net and still decided to buy call of duty on that launcher over steam.

Sony has enough exclusives to make it worth having their own launcher. Especially if they can bundle it with PSNOW.

But still Steam will always be number 1 and you always gonna have that vocal group where if it's not on Steam it don't matter. But that hasn't stopped other launchers from appearing and won't stop Sony from making theirs.

Still at the end of the day arguing about launchers is probably the definition of first world problems lol.

Unlike you I can admit when I'm wrong. You just don't like what I'm saying because the fanboy in you never wants things to change. The day they started putting their console exclusive games on PC the console walled garden approach days were numbered.

They say today it's PlayStation first. Well guess what, yesterday it was PlayStation only. Guess thats not the case anymore.

The shareholders demand growth. Nothing I'm saying requires any expert knowledge.

10 years ago if someone said PS exclusives would be on PC they'd have been laughed out of the room. Today those games are on PC. Their fanboys take solace in the fact that at least it's just old games. The fanboys 10 years ago took solace in the fact that nobody else could get them at all. The next step is obvious.

It's just like when Xbox said they were doing cross gen and Sony said we believe in generations. Next thing you know they didn't believe in generations anymore. The fanboys talked it down when Xbox said it. Talked it up when Sony decided to do the same thing.

Games who's sales have stalled on console being moved to PC is some giant victory? :dahell:

The day they due day and date with PC for their big games is the minute they cannabalize their console sales.

They are not that crazy. Their bread and butter is console and ps plus.

Ok then why didn't they do that in the PS4 generation? The PS3 generation. If this is such a sensible move why is it happening now?

I don't doubt they'd see some negative impact short term in console sales but the typical console gamer isn't running out there and building a gaming PC because Sony games are suddenly on PC day one. Some level of enthusiast who likely already have gaming PCs would stop buying their hardware but that's not near a level of their customers that will have a huge impact and all they've lost is a console sale. That customer is still buying their hardware. They'd still buy the software.

These PC customers aren't second class customers who should be getting table scraps. There's a value in that market.

I doubt we'll see uncharted, TLoU, GoW, Horizon, etc on PC day and date but I wouldn't be surprised if Helldivers is the start of things that aren't tentpoles being day 1 releases.

Same with people saying they'll never drop a first party game day on PS+. I bet they will soon since that's slowly ramping up with closely tied games like humanity and foamstars.

Personally, it's really not a big deal to me either way but I think things are absolutely changing in gaming space to incorporate more devices if available especially with people saying 2024 is the year of closures, leaked documented and interviews about unsustainable first party development costs etc.

Sony started cloud streaming before any of the big three. Including on PC and TVs. They scaled back until they revamped it the point of their cloud service exceeding xcloud in visual quality. With MS teaming with LG and Samsung, you really don't think Sony would love to have PSNow/+ on Bravia TVs or a standalone app?

Helldivers isn't big because it's $40 but Hellblade 2 is $50...
Sony nikkas always got some new goalposts or deflections to run to.

They used to say stuff like this
They are not going to give up the biggest incentive to own their console and put their biggest exclusives on PC.

Now they got a new story :wow:

Those AAA single player games will be the last domino to fall. They'll have to cultivate a larger audience on PC first and then release their own launcher. From there they can simply stop the Steam releases and make their games exclusive to their launcher.

Crazy how quickly things flip, last year BG3 had them backflipping about having a pseudo exclusive not available to Xbox for a bit.

Dudes was paying and playing early access of BG3 for months, meanwhile palworld drops for free in Gamepass preview and dudes instantly try to downplay it :mjlol:

The biggest game of the year is from a Japanese studio who has only made games taking inspiration from all the games they hate on :mjlol:

Multiplayer, Farming, sim life, Grounded, pokemon, fortnite etc.

Sony abandoned Japan to make these "movie cinematic games" only to turn around and have a game that cost a faction of the price to make crazy money and not release on a Japaneses consoles.

This is all after Sony Stan's had been telling me Microsoft wasn't building relationships in Japan.

On top of that their 1st Sony published exclusive is day and date on PC and multiplayer GAAS :mjlol:

I don't think sony Stan's have been right on anything they champion at all.

But hey they selling a ton of hardware :mjlol:

They just don’t have their pipeline together yet.

It’s difficult to release a game simultaneously on PC and console. At this point their devs don’t have the experience needed to do so. As they get more experience and update their pipeline to include PC, their games will become more “ubiquitous” like the ceo wants them to be.

This @winb83 clown used to be one of the biggest supporters of subscriptions on this forum. Always dooming Sony for not following Microsoft Gamepass model as it was the next Netflix of gaming.

Gamepass as we now know is so successful, Microsoft hasn’t given as an update on numbers in years.

He’s back now with more crazy talk about Sony business model :heh:

Nikka, stick to whining about tech products nobody gives a fukk about
