Exactly. As somebody who got both games when they game out, it's historical revisionism to act like they weren't popular.

Most people loved the Sonic Adventure games at the time. Zoomers just like to complain because they're used to games being super easy :heh:
Word, like Sonic Adventure 2 had the same impact on younger millenials/older Gen Z that the original Sonic had on Gen X/older millenials. City Escape is our Green Hill Zone.

Thats almost as much as frontiers, high doubt
The Dreamcast version of Sonic Adventure 2 sold around 918,000 copies in the US,[69] and 108,480 copies in Japan.[70]

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for the GameCube sold almost 50,000 copies during its first week in Japan,[71] where it went on to sell 192,186 units as of December 23, 2002.[72] In North America, it was the best-selling GameCube title between January and August 2002, with 465,000 copies sold during that period. By August 2002, Battle had sold more than 1 million copies worldwide.[73] By July 2006, it had sold 1.2 million copies and earned $44 million in the United States. Next Generation ranked it as the 42nd highest-selling game launched for the PlayStation 2, Xbox or GameCube between January 2000 and July 2006 in that country.[74] It sold 1.44 million copies in the United States as of December 2007, making it one of the best-selling GameCube games and the best-selling third-party game for the system.[75][76]

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle also sold more than 100,000 units in the United Kingdom,[77] for a total of over 1,732,186 units sold worldwide for the GameCube. This adds up to a combined total of more than 2,758,666 units sold worldwide for both the Dreamcast and GameCube versions.

Yup. Even though I was a teenager by the time SA2 came out (which I guess makes me an older millennial) it was still fire at the time. :wow:

Sure you can nitpick aspects of it now but people loved both of the SA games.

SA1 is an all-time game for me. It's the first game i 100% completed. They're leaving money on the table not remaking it. I would buy it so fast

I don't think sega would do it justice if they remade SA1 at least not the current Sega we have now.
