Or maybe we just simply like and appreciate music he drops :what:

Ya problem is y'all are so caught up in hyperbole and the opinions of other grown adults to the point it dictates your irrational view in music.

Nobody forces you to listen to Kendrick. But these people who claim they hate Kendrick keeps talking about him. To me that's a hater with a agenda. They thrive and thirst for him to fail. :stopitslime:
Bullshyt. Kendrick and his team have went all out with attempts to brainwash the public, because his music alone could never garner the attention he currently has.
Having bios on his now revamped kendricklamar.org that (used to say) He was "the evolution of tupac shakur",
Having altered audio of 2pac interviews to pretend pacs talking to and crowning him as the new 2pac
kendrick asked for the pushback he's getting.

Attention whoring and calling out nikkas (whom he did songs with) like he wanted it (for attention)
maaaaaaaaaan i could go on and on. He reaps what he sows.
Like i said, once he's forced to stand without interscope pushing the button for him,it's a wrap.
He's trash

Vince Staples to me is a better and does what Kendrick tries to do but with a "gangsta" rap twist, better. Also Makes better music.

I agree, he had that militant formula perfectly locked on Vol 1, now dude has become nothing but a exaggerated caricature of himself.

Love
His content is the type of stuff that thrives at a spoken word poetry night . . for pseudo-intellects who take political science classes at the local university.

Lacks replay value . . entertainment value

King Kunta is production driven track . . the content is lyrically superfluous and doesn't contain half of the entertainment value that the song it was influenced by . . and in case you didn't know the song and it's format and structure is a manifestation of Suga Free's verse on DJ Quik's "Down Down Down" . . if you don't understand that you don't know music and you don't know songwriting. They basically took Suga Free's verse, centered in on it and fleshed out a song from it with superfluous content and catchy funk-driven production

cuz people liked their music. And when did we bring up Grammys? take ya L already

Why are you getting homotional?

Don't deflect. This is why the thread was made. Commercial performance and popularity doesn't not always equal critical acclaim. So please don't bring up platinum sales to this logical conversation

This has been floating around in my head since SC2

Summertime 06 really got me considering that Vince might be a better Kendrick and he pulled that album off with half the resources Kendrick had on TPAB

That said I think a Vince/Kendrick collab album would be :ohlawd:

what about everything else i said on my post? :sas2:
Who gives a fukk if he used a Pac interview for his album :dahell:

Do you think he was trying to trick people into thinking he was really having a conversation with someone that's been dead for 20 years :beli:

Oh no, he said rappers name on a track on some competition shyt:mjlol:

Only people that got emotional about that shyt was Drake, his stans and people that use shyt posted on fan site bios against an artist

Straight out the fukkin' dungeons of rap
. And i haven't even had a desire to even listen to his latest album. I may never listen to it. Honestly, i just dont feel like his popularity is genuine. Personally i prefer Wale over K.L anyday.

just listen to it man, it wont kill you

It's got some Soulquarian + DJ QUik vibes into it man

Really easy to get into if you fukks with LB and Elzhi

shutcho dumbass up.

People are buying Kendrick's records and hyping up his shyt because they like the music he puts out. Everybody i know in real life love his music. Just internet dweebs like you trying to create this illusion of a bandwagon just cuz you think hes overrated. Platinum albums is not the same as a Grammy. Album sales are based on if the people want to buy your shyt. Grammys are given to you buy a committee in some fancy ceremony. Not the same kind of honor.
