do nikkas even pay attention to lyrics these days?
throughout the whole thing hes.dealing with his own insecurities and failures. Brehs can't properly comprehend music and make dumb statements like this
MBDTF IS a classic thoIn 2000s mainstream rap the bar has been set so low that dudes will settle. It is what it is. It's where rap is now. People are so starved for something that stimulates them intellectually that they vastly overrate great, but not classic works. I couldn't believe how many people were telling me TPAB was a classic a week after it came out. Mostly hipster white kids actually. The same exact thing happened with MBDTF. G.K.M.C. was far more relatable because he tried to make an album about Kendrick, instead of a "black" album. I liked Cilvia Demo more than anything Kendrick's ever done.
How do you define a classic? What is your personal definition?MBDTF IS a classic tho
I'm not feeling his vibe
I posted this in another thread. Kendrick a good artist, don't get me wrong. IMO his song "Ignorance is Bliss" is a Top 20 song of this decade
Honestly, I feel To Pimp a Butterly is psuedo political, and the embodiment of mediocrity
I like some of Kendrick's songs, but it feels like he's just reading a phrase book or black political terms and throwing it against the wall to see if it sticks
"We hate the po po"
"Alls my life I had to fight"
"Black power forever"
"We not gonna take this no more"
"I'm 100% Negu"
"I'm Kunta Kente"
Just seems like he's creating a patchwork book of ideas he thinks it's cool, but doesn't really feel it himself
Especially since D'Angelo used the exact same concept on his album, with better execution
Lupe may show his intelligence on front street, but I feel that his songs are actually him. Like he lives and breathes what he raps about, whether you agree with him or not. J-Cole also. That new Vince Staples album feels more authentic. Kendrick just sounds like he listened to a Public enemy album last summer and thought he should make an album about it
But the beat of this "Alright" song is fire though
shutcho dumbass up.
People are buying Kendrick's records and hyping up his shyt because they like the music he puts out. Everybody i know in real life love his music. Just internet dweebs like you trying to create this illusion of a bandwagon just cuz you think hes overrated. Platinum albums is not the same as a Grammy. Album sales are based on if the people want to buy your shyt. Grammys are given to you buy a committee in some fancy ceremony. Not the same kind of honor.
I'm not gonna take another grown man serious who uses brainwashing as a scapegoat.Bullshyt. Kendrick and his team have went all out with attempts to brainwash the public, because his music alone could never garner the attention he currently has.
Having bios on his now revamped kendricklamar.org that (used to say) He was "the evolution of tupac shakur",
Having altered audio of 2pac interviews to pretend pacs talking to and crowning him as the new 2pac
kendrick asked for the pushback he's getting.
Attention whoring and calling out nikkas (whom he did songs with) like he wanted it (for attention)
maaaaaaaaaan i could go on and on. He reaps what he sows.
Like i said, once he's forced to stand without interscope pushing the button for him,it's a wrap.
He's trash
You stan Drake nikka, and the majority of your posts are in Kendrick threads with yiu repeating yourself 9/10. Clearly a plant with a missionWho would pay me to be a plant and why?
Vince Staples to me is a better and does what Kendrick tries to do but with a "gangsta" rap twist, better. Also Makes better music.
