Kendrick Lamar is the 1st rapper where ive felt that im being forced to like. The machine behind him is so obvious. He has some cool songs and has blown me away lyrically at times but overall he's just...boring. He has literally been FORCED into our conciousness. Overly Dedicated & Section 80 was ok. (Ill be lying if i said the beats wasn't the best part to me). Money Trees, Sing About Me and Real are pretty much the only songs i listen to off G.K.M.C. And i haven't even had a desire to even listen to his latest album. I may never listen to it. Honestly, i just dont feel like his popularity is genuine. Personally i prefer Wale over K.L anyday. But at the end of the day, atleast something other than ignorance is getting mainstream shine so i :salute:to that

:scusthov: @ anyone giving this clown ANY attention.
:dead: @ "Forced into our consciousness". coming from an Eminem stan.
A stan of a dude who can fart on a record and get spins on Alt. Rock, Pop AND Hip Hop stations.
A stan of a dude who raps about murder, drugs and incest but he rails against Black rappers daily with content that isn't nearly as ridiculous.
A stan of a dude who doesn't like music being "forced into his consciousness" but willing to listen to a rapper who clearly has thousands of dollars put into getting him spins across the country, features on television, forced into movie soundtracks etc. etc.

Remember this dude is a HYPOCRITE who peddles bullshyt for daps and rep.
@PhonZhi EPITOMIZES "Coli Militant".
Only Kendrick can get a pass from faux coli militants about using respectability politics:wow:
:iseeu::iseeu::iseeu::iseeu:

Not nearly as much as Lupe fiasco :

During the trayvon martin case :

:mjpls: When pressed....

but...but...what about black on black crime brehs ?

:ohhh: Is that so ? It couldn't be because you said ridiculous and intentionally
inflammatory shyt after Zimmerman won his case. :wow:

:wow:
How quickly the coli forgets.

Kendrick says we need to respect ourselves more (something I actually disagree with)
And TheColi runs with it, Lupe fiasco spouts all this shyt and gets a pass.

Same posters hate "Trap Rappers" yelling out "Free Chill" with Lupe fiasco.
:dead: The Booth brehs.

IF you ever, EVER wanna see a mass congregation of smart dummies, look at who comments
under Lupe's tweets.

You stan Drake nikka, and the majority of your posts are in Kendrick threads with yiu repeating yourself 9/10. Clearly a plant with a mission
Lmao, I've challenged Drake's success on this very board and talked about how the red carpet was rolled out for him. HOWEVER Drake has proven to be the real deal. He makes hit records that I've heard people in various locations bumping, he's given many other rappers alot of attention by jumping on their tracks and being a huge factor in the quality of the songs. He's done huge tours etc. Meanwhile Kendrick was given the same push but where's the hit records? Big Sean makes more noticeable music than him. Like I said, I never hear his music being bumped (and I never have ever) . He's not responsible for anyone else having a hit. He allegedly sold a bunch of albums but can't sell singles to save his life. Can't get good amount of viewers on YouTube (considering whom he's supposed to be) .can't headline big tours like other REAL STARS have. All his big shows are festivals or he's on someone else's tour. It's all a farce. Day and night he wishes he was Drake. While his fans live in fantasies that he's the man and has great content. He's really just another rapper with a huge push and overrated content

my point is how much do people actually like this nikka.
Hot amongst black people,NOPE (THERE'S MULTIPLE nikkaS HOTTER THAN HIM in the black community)
Big crossover records,NOPE (plenty of nikkas with bigger songs than him)
Big tours, nope (other nikkas whom he's supposed to be amongst ALBUM SALES WISE have done real tours, while he can only do festivals OR ELSE it's small venues unless one of the real stars throws him a bone)
Once interscope pulls back,he'll be exposed
Says he was signed in 2012,not true it came out his clique been signed since 2011,which means his critically acclaimed "independent album" was really worked by the majors. nikkas faking?

No shyt nikka, you don't know how the industry works. He signed to give them a certain amount of albums. But he wanted to release his EP first. Don't know what you're talking about it was worked by majors. All the production was done in house. :yeshrug: If you're talking they done their studio location who gives a fukk? It was still released as a "independent album" Interscope didn't distribute in no way shape or form. Again you're just repeating yourself and saying shyt everyone knew. You talk like you from the streets. Nobody in the streets talks about the shyt you do and half The Coli. Ask a regular street what a industry plant is and he'll give you the :dahell:

nikkas just listen to music b. fukk yo politics

You are a fukking clown and c00n if u dont think the black community needs to end this cycle of promoting and rewarding ignorance. Ignorance has BECOME black culture fueled mainly by this poisonous rap culture. Do we need to "respect ourselves" for white people? Hell no. Its about changing how we see and feel about OURSELVES. Rite now, self-hate is at an all-time high while black pride is at an all-time low. You are a complete idiot if you dont think that our mindset and the way that we feel about OURSELVES doesn't need a change.

Solid posting. People just dont want to admit that Kendrick is damn near a product of "social conditioning". Im not saying that he's not a talented lyricist and doesn't make good songs, but its obvious that his fame is manufactured. People in general (especially young people) are sheep in nature. The human mind is very impressionable. On the outside, saying you a Kendrick Lamar fan is the cool and trendy thing to do. But like others have said, people aint bumpin K.L in the whips. Because of the LACK of other lyricists and "conciousness" in the mainstream, K.L stands out and is seen as a Messiah. Give somebody like Phonte (who is just as great of a lyricist and has 10X the personality and charisma of K.L) the same "machine" and people would forget all about K.L

Straight out the fukkin' dungeons of rap
Listen to how wack and boring K.L sounds on this.

Dude has zero charisma. He should NEVER attempt anything on a beat like this again. He just doesnt have the personality for it.

"I'm two much for these nikkas, I'm three much for these hoes" :laff:
that's 5 years ago though. Dude's evolved his sound again and again.

Dude still doesn't have "it" to me. Take somebody like Kevin Gates for example. The 1st time i heard that "i got 6 jobs" song, i was blown away. Dude jus has "it". I could feel Kevin's passion and charisma through the speakers. I dont get that at all with Kendrick

Your opinion is trash. To Pimp A Butterfly is not nearly as political as you are acting. It is black themed meaning it touches on topics specific to black people but its mostly about Kendrick himself. It is nothing similar to a Public Enemy album
That's why I don't understand what people like the OP mean when they compare TPAB to Public Enemy and stuff. This album is as personal as it gets, if you feel it's about black empowerment well it must mean that Kendrick is a black man part of this racist system we're in :yeshrug:
