Kobe at 22 was putting up

29.4, 7.3, 6.1 on the best playoff team ever

With series like
2001 2nd Round Playoffs Kobe Bryant vs Sacramento Kings

35.0 ppg 9.0 rpg 4.3 apg 47%fg 20%3P 86%FT

And series like this

2001 3rd Round Playoffs Kobe Bryant vs San Antonio Spurs

33.3 ppg 7.0 rpg 7.0 apg 51%fg 36%3P 77%FT

Age is a cop out

LeBron at 22 took his team to the finals by himself averaging 25/8/8

lebron must be 80 years old :beli:

releax mj was 28 when he first got one bron bron is 27 chill.

Gotta be one of the most overused, and stupid comments ever ...

considering MJ went to college and LeBron didn't.

That's why I thought ESPN was a bunch of dumbasses for putting up this:

Kobe Bryant 23-27 years old 2002-2006 playoffs stats per 40 minutes:
24.5 4.8 4.6 43.3 FG% 33.7 3P%

LeBron James 23-27 years old 2008-2012 playoffs stats per 40 minutes:
27.3 8.3 6.2 48.1 FG% 32.3 3P%

:obama: But in all fairness Shaq didnt leave til 2004, so Kobes stats "could" have been higher

OUTSIDE OF THE 06 SEASON,
KOBE HAS PUT UP THE SAME NUMBERS HE DID WITH SHAQ
FROM SHOTS ATTEMPTED TO PTS RBS AST

all im saying is in years where Kobe played with no all star...he didnt score less than 27 a game...its silly to assume Kobe wouldnt be putting up better numbers had Shaq not been there

I still think people don't give Kobe his due credit for the 3 peat playoff run because he played with Shaq and Shaq got all the Finals MVP's.

He beat San Antonio, no DESTROYED San Antonio by himself in 01 and did the same thing to the Kings.

vs San Antonio
45 pts 10 rebs
28 pts 7 rebs 6 asts
36 pts 9 rebs 8 asts
24 pts 11 asts

vs Sac
29 pts 4 rebs 5 asts
27 pts 9 rebs 5 asts
36 pts 7 rebs 4 asts
48 pts 16 rebs 3 asts

Kobe is legit the 2nd best player I have ever seen and I'm not so sure that if he had gotten playing time from the start that he wouldn't be the best.

do it in the 4th when the season is on the line. then i'll check for the prince.

4th quarter or overtime, less than 5 minutes left, neither team ahead by more than 5 points per 48 minutes.

2012:
Kobe 36.3 7.8 6.8 32.7 FG%
LeBron 33.2 15.1 9.3 38.6 FG%

2011:
Kobe 49.8 8.5 7.6 40.2 FG%
LeBron 45.1 11.2 4.9 43.6 FG%

2010:
LeBron 66.1 15.9 8.3 48.8 FG%
Kobe 51.2 7.3 3.6 44.4 FG%

2009:
Kobe 56.7 8.4 5.7 45.7 FG%
LeBron 55.9 14.3 12.6 55.6 FG%

Basically doesn't prove much other than Kobe likes to ball hog down the stretch.

From 05'-10' against 50-win teams:

Kobe - 30.0 ppg, 46.7% FG, 57.0% TS, 5.7 rpg, 5.4 apg
Bron - 28.0 ppg, 42.6% FG, 52.4% TS, 8.2 rpg, 7.3 apg

not sure anyone pointed this out but...
5.4 apg vs 7.3 apg = roughly 2 buckets a game or 4 points.

PPG adjusted for assists
Kobe = 40.8 PPG
Bron = 42.6

Add rebounds to that and well...yeah.

dont you post another stat gotdamnit lol

:skip:

Clutchness isnt a 'stat' its characteristics in the clutch.....you can visibly see players like Durant and Kobe rising to the occasion....LeBron visibly looks scared in the clutch, and looks to pass it ALOT...thats not clutch
