PAD your stats.... why do you guys always decide what stats are good and which are bad?

so much more to the game and nitpicking isolated stats.. how about defending a shooter.. what are shooters % against those two? turnovers when thier on the floor and so on...

maybe lebron has lower stats.. IN SOME FIELDS.. because he was double/triple teamed.. does the stats say that?
and those teams prefered not to double Kobe because kobe is gonna shoot...

and btw.. team match up are different from one team to another.. a quick team can be the lakers.. and big team can beat miami a defensive team can beat OKC...almost on some rock paper scisors ish.... what matchup where those teams? (i know it's post miami)

Lebron plays in the East......:smugfavre:

Lebron plays in the East......:smugfavre:

i can dig that...that's definitly something to agree with because most of his games will be vs the east teams.. it's not as isolated as a stat. what are his east stats vs his west?

1, its pretty even.

2.. against 50-win teams :shaq2:

were talkinbout what.. 6-8teams top? there fore few matches only... heck one migh have 3 times the numbers of matches compared to the others..

:ohhh:

Yeah very few teams even fall into that category. I haven't checked but I would assume that the teams that fell into that category each year were the Mavs, Suns, and Spurs in the west. The point of the stat is to say that the players are doing against "good" teams but Dallas and Phoenix were typically among the worst defensive teams in the league those years.

The east teams would have been teams like Detroit, Orlando, Miami, and Boston.

i dont really classify kobe and lebron in the same category, that being said, lbj needs to get that killer instinct then he'll be scary, until then, yea..

but his game is a hybrid of a lot of dif ppl, but he's not really like kobe

you sure about that?

martin-o.gif

let's keep it real!!! after this year da talk is not gonna be about Kobe/bron is moved to da Jordan/bron debate

from da age of 21-27 playoffs stats

Kobe -98games 26.1pts 5.4rebs 5.1ast 44%fg
Bron -106games 28.6pts 8.6rebs 6.8ast 46%fg
Mj -70games 34.6pts 6.8rebs 7.1ast 51%fg

well damn

And lets be honest, if Kobe was playing with Shaq, he would have had more 40 point games. But he most likely wouldn't have had all those rings.

to me that looks like bron has 2.5 more rebounds and 2 more assists
and kobe scores 2 more points on a better shooting % whats the big deal?

From 05'-10' against 50-win teams:

Kobe - 30.0 ppg, 46.7% FG, 57.0% TS, 5.7 rpg, 5.4 apg
Bron - 28.0 ppg, 42.6% FG, 52.4% TS, 8.2 rpg, 7.3 apg
Nice stat comparison but here's some context. Lebron was 20 years old in '05, most people don't think that he reached the beginning of his prime until '07. Plus the guy is still getting better.

stop using age as a measuring stick WAY too many factors involved like...

LeBron was 1-man team during that age set, Kobe had Shaq...now we've seen the numbers kobe put up without Shaq

Another thing Lebron was more ball dominant with the Cavs then any other Player maybe ever. When the ball is in your hands every posession every play with no type of offensive system it's not surprise your stats are going to be slightly inflated.

While Kobe has played in a triangle offense basically his whole career

That 50 win stat is from 05-10. What about 11/12? Lebron was 20/21 in 04-05 season

Kobe at 22 was putting up

29.4, 7.3, 6.1 on the best playoff team ever

With series like
2001 2nd Round Playoffs Kobe Bryant vs Sacramento Kings

35.0 ppg 9.0 rpg 4.3 apg 47%fg 20%3P 86%FT

And series like this

2001 3rd Round Playoffs Kobe Bryant vs San Antonio Spurs

33.3 ppg 7.0 rpg 7.0 apg 51%fg 36%3P 77%FT

Age is a cop out
