I didn't know assists totals only counted in late game situations.

They count all game of course but it's the last few minutes that people usually want to focus on when comparing LeBron and Kobe and it really shows how different they are. When LeBron is doubled or trapped, he ALWAYS looks for the open teammate. Kobe takes it as a personal challenge.

There's really nothing about the triangle offense that hinders assists. Kobe has been the primary ballhandler for his team every year just like LeBron has. Kobe had the Mike Brown offense this year and didn't come close to matching any of LeBron's assist numbers. They actually went DOWN from previous years spent in the triangle, especially when you factor in MPG.

:childplease: assists and rebounds bron is a better all around player than kobe ever will be kobe is just a 1 on 1 player who constantly freezes his teammates out the game and plays 1 on 5 basketball tell me im lying :childplease:

What does that have to do with what I said?

Kobe in that time period against 50 win teams in the playoffs scored more and scored more efficiently
That's a fact

Lebron dominates the ball too damn much.

Yeah he should play off the ball and let the offense come to him like Kobe does, right? :russ:

First, I know that you know that the Triangle is meant to be run through the post so what you just said is FALSE! That being said, Kobe is a scorer and was never going to have huge assists totals.

let me put it like this.....

how often do you see teams rushing to deny or double LeBron in the clutch?...

now..

how often do you see Kobe being AGGRESSIVELY denied the ball in the clutch?

Lebron is the best baller I've ever witnessed (just missed the Jordan era, only saw him flabby n sick) BUT....

I really don't feel any of the hate is unwarranted. This dude promised 8 championships...and he "wasn't just blowin smoke".

In my opinion, until he delivers that.... the criticism is warranted

maybe I'm just a hater, but pops taught me you shouldn't write checks that your ass cant cash :manny:

He got triple teammed last time there was a clutch situation.

This is an awful post.

Kobe doesnt dominate the ball as much as Lebron in Cleavland and now does(Maybe his 06' season I think) nikkaz confuse shooting too much with ball dominance

And Lebron should try to be more like Kobe. "Kobe" ball works, it prouduces championships.

surely not out of fear of him doing something....I believe a team that double LeBron in clutch does so knowing he's gonna pass out of it everytime

let's keep it real!!! after this year da talk is not gonna be about Kobe/bron is moved to da Jordan/bron debate

from da age of 21-27 playoffs stats

Kobe -98games 26.1pts 5.4rebs 5.1ast 44%fg
Bron -106games 28.6pts 8.6rebs 6.8ast 46%fg
Mj -70games 34.6pts 6.8rebs 7.1ast 51%fg

:rudy:

Kobe Bryant 23-27 years old 2002-2006 playoffs stats per 40 minutes:
24.5 4.8 4.6 43.3 FG% 33.7 3P%

LeBron James 23-27 years old 2008-2012 playoffs stats per 40 minutes:
27.3 8.3 6.2 48.1 FG% 32.3 3P%

:rudy:

stop using age as a measuring stick WAY too many factors involved like...

LeBron was 1-man team during that age set, Kobe had Shaq...now we've seen the numbers kobe put up without Shaq

good. so i dont have to say it.

yall nikkas love manipulating stats.

lol you're so full of shyt.

pippen's 7 assists 20 years ago is the most a player has ever had with a phil-led team. why do you think jordan never sniffed another 8 APG season once phil became the coach?

the lack of a traditional PG combined with the offense being post-oriented make it difficult to rack up assists.
