I still think people don't give Kobe his due credit for the 3 peat playoff run because he played with Shaq and Shaq got all the Finals MVP's.

He beat San Antonio, no DESTROYED San Antonio by himself in 01 and did the same thing to the Kings.

vs San Antonio
45 pts 10 rebs
28 pts 7 rebs 6 asts
36 pts 9 rebs 8 asts
24 pts 11 asts

vs Sac
29 pts 4 rebs 5 asts
27 pts 9 rebs 5 asts
36 pts 7 rebs 4 asts
48 pts 16 rebs 3 asts

Kobe is legit the 2nd best player I have ever seen and I'm not so sure that if he had gotten playing time from the start that he wouldn't be the best.

And Kobe was their closer

not sure anyone pointed this out but...
5.4 apg vs 7.3 apg = roughly 2 buckets a game or 4 points.

PPG adjusted for assists
Kobe = 40.8 PPG
Bron = 42.6

Add rebounds to that and well...yeah.

Is this really what it has come to? So even when Lebron doesn't have better numbers, you're just gonna find a way to make him better?

:what:

how do you even begin to compare assist when dealing with a shooting guard in the triangle offense and a point forward in no type of offense whatsoever?

dont you post another stat gotdamnit lol

:skip:

Clutchness isnt a 'stat' its characteristics in the clutch.....you can visibly see players like Durant and Kobe rising to the occasion....LeBron visibly looks scared in the clutch, and looks to pass it ALOT...thats not clutch

So "clutch" is having the killer instinct to hoist up low percentage shots when the game is on the line instead of passing to wide open teammates that have a much higher likelihood of making it? :wtf:

People also overlook the fact that Kobe has played most of his career and ALL of his championships under Phil Jackson. The greatest coach ever, as opposed to Mike Brown and Spoelstra.
What happened to Kobe/Bynum/Gasol this year with Brown? :gladbron:

Im not gonna even go in depth with you..you watch the games, Im not about to walk you through this...some people got it, some people dont...period.

....and clutch players dont worry about 'likelihood' they think whatever they shooting is goin down.I wouldnt consider Pierce's dagger in game 5 high percentage

First few seasons Kobe didn't get much PT and came off the bench. He had unbelievable raw ability but his Bball IQ was amazingly low.

the same thing that happened with Phil Jackson....

and for the record if you can get to the finals with a coach, you should be able to win the finals with him....Spo had nothing to do with LeBron dissapearing out of the finals last year....nice try

The first 2 years in the league under Del Harris, Bean played 150 games and started 7 times. He didn't get theplaying time that would have gotten him the experience that he needed to progress quicker.

Why would teenage Kobe get minutes over Eddie Jones?

Logo aka Jerry West said that when he worked Kobe out against Michael Cooper that he was better than anybody they had on the team right then, that includes Eddie Jones. I understand Del Harris was concerned about his job, but don't make it seem like Kobe wasn't good enough because that's just not true.
