Think the problem is y’all keep expecting Dre to have the same production style(s) he had on The Chronic or 2001.
I’m tired of this copout when it comes to long time vets. We just want the music to simply sound good, and this does not. There’s 16 year olds doing “type beat” tracks that sound better than this.

Snoop definitely trying to win his first Grammy with this album. Snoop sounds great on this, but nothing is standing out at first listen. I’m gonna give it some more spins.

Both of yall are right tbh. It was MAD nikkas on here thinking/hoping this album would sound The Chronic/2001.

Ok. Go listen to them then. Can’t knock a vet for trying to update their sound. Either like it or you don’t.

He didn’t try updating his sound though, it sounds like the worst versions of stuff he was producing from 2007-2010. Dr. Dre just seems to be the producer version of Eminem at this point where he can’t make anything appealing. I’ve heard recent nice music from LL, GFK, Onyx, and other long time vets. Dre has every resource available while managing to put out the least quality.

Nothing wrong with a Vet trying to update their sound, but Snoop sounded 10x better on the DPG and Eastsidaz albums that came out this year vs. this album.

You nikkas still latching on to that “you all want 90’s g funk” talking point is corny

This track is 100x better than anything on this weed plate and it’s not doggystyle/chronic sound

Now this I can agree with. Other than that, idc. The shyt he’s made I don’t rock with I just don’t listen to.

And those albums sound the way that they do cause they lean heavy on classic Westcoast sound. Rick Rock, Soopafly, Daz ain’t venturing too far out their bag. Mike & Key got a sound too where you hear it you know it’s time and it’s just a little updated west sound
