Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre - Missionary (Offical Album Thread)

Whoever ghostwrote for Snoop did great on this.. album of course is gonna be mixed good since it’s Dre but it’s not the sound I was expecting.

This should be a good album to perform tho. A lot of the songs are intended to sound big it seems.
I gotta stop lookin at it like it’s a real follow up to Doggystyle other than the title

Snoop does sound good on this.

Imma need a couple more listens. I like it but it does the same thing as Casablanco in using some overused samples. Maybe to a lesser extent.

As I said above it gives me Kingdom Come vibes. The sonics signatures perhaps. Plus the ‘going for a mature feel’ present across the whole thing. And it being overproduced.

Damn this shyt is sad….not because the music is so horrible but because i remember a time when the world would’ve stopped for a snoop and Dre album. Thread isn’t even stickied….em and 50 trying their hardest….jelly roll feature….this shyt sounds like some dikk Clark rocking New Year’s Eve shyt….i feel so washed listening to this shyt

After listening, who is the demographic for this? Snoop is perfectly fine, but Dre’s production sounds so hollow and is badly missing some punch behind it, which is very disappointing given how nice the production was on Marsha Ambrosious’ album. These beats sound flat and cheap.
