He is not saying anything that didn't ring true for a lot of black folks back in the day. I went to an hbcu for 2.5 years before I transferred to a state school, and a lot of those folks had 2.0s and lower and could only get into those schools. That's not to say there weren't a lot who had way better grades and chose that path.

It would take a special somebody to pass up money to stay at an HBCU. The facilities aren't the same even at the lowest level FBS school they'll have better facilities but Prime was building something special there amd unfortunately until HBCUs as a whole can bring in money, this is what's going to happen. Hate to see it because those kids deserve better but the money is elsewhere which is why they're division 1.
