Fries are expensive at every fast food location these days. They know that people won't just buy a burger so the burgers can be cheap and they'll more than make up for the price with fries. It's why they have those 2 for 3 burgers and other such promotions.LOL @ +$5.39 for some damn fries.
They are probably getting 20lbs of potatoes wholesale for that price.
That statement is a cluster fyck of stupid. Also we are not far from it. For example, people's health can be determined if insurance decides to pay for a given procedure and there's little to no room around it. Drop that liberal vs. conservative crap.Amazon eats coming soon.
Liberals love this kind of news because ultimately they want to fall under complete corporate control
Right. It’s not like they got a value menu or something.given that shake shack charges like $25 for a burger, they should have plenty of profit margin regardless.
They do. But we like our options....and those lines don't make any sensePpl check for SS like that? I though I&O had a stranglehold in Cali?

well In N Out has 0 lines now at their main location in Oakland as they also closed this yearIn N Out regularly has lines around the block.
If I recall they claimed it closed due to crime not the minimum wage.well In N Out has 0 lines now at their main location in Oakland as they also closed this year
ah yes, the classic retard take. Instead of a company not being raped for $20 per hour, per employee, minimum, on top of $20-50k per month rent per location, lets make 0 jobsGood riddance. If they can't afford to operate without slave wages then they should close.
well if they have just say 6 employees per day (probably more) at an average of $25 per hour (managers, shift leaders and assistant managers probably get paid more than the $20 a hour minimum wage that standard employees get), and open 10 hours a day - thats $1,500 per day on employees alone. Not including rent ($20-50k per month, lets just call it $30k per month) - thats another $1k a day, plus PG&E another $3000 per month, business liability insurance another $1500-3000 a month, materials/cost of goods, paying someone if something breaks, terminal/pos service feesLOL @ +$5.39 for some damn fries.

Yes, businesses have expenses, but they also have a responsibility to pay their workers a wage that reflects the cost of living. Fast food companies make billions in profit, which suggests they can afford to pay more without going under. It's not about making zero jobs; it's about making sure the jobs that do exist aren't leaving people in poverty. Fair wages are not the problem; corporate greed is. One is necessary for a healthy society, while the other is a detriment to it. Besides, they didn't mention the min. wage as the cause for closing those restaurants. Multiple closed in Texas as well.ah yes, the classic retard take. Instead of a company not being raped for $20 per hour, per employee, minimum, on top of $20-50k per month rent per location, lets make 0 jobs
$0 sound better than $20 a hour ? Cause now those employees are jobless. You sure showed Shake Shack
For years Doobie has done this. The puters keep putin' so he keeps doing it.Per the article the company didn’t mention minimum wage at all as a reason for closings (in fact , explicitly refused to mention it when prodded) but instead variance in store traffic…but the thread title and all these misleading headlines center the entire story around minimum wage increases
