Gears of War ended with Part 3 it was a good conclusion to the series... they didn't have to milk it...

...The Last of Us? Critically acclaimed, GOTG type games that transcend gaming itself - TLOU is going to be a HBO program for example.

Or are games like this just out of their reach (considering the 'talent' in their studios) or do not fit in with their future plans to become the new Netflix with gamepass?

They almost singlehandedly destroyed the Devil May cry franchise until the Japanese brought it back to life. It’s a painfully average studio that has delusions of grandeur.
