black folks would have circulated more money amongst eachother, instead of spending it trying to fit in w/cacs socially. if every business in our immediate areas were owned and operated by other black folks, it'd stand to reason the gap in wealth wouldn't be as wide.

if a BWS were allowed to thrive unchecked, we would have eventually had our own car companies, our own airline. things that seem completely out of reach in this day and age. i mean, with your spill about congress; that's something we could have fought for separately.

How do you expect to let a BWS thrive unchecked with segregation still having whites be over us? With segregation we are still in the USA its not like we were fully independent. All segregation will do is cripple our stance in politics and let the racist whites take over.

With segregation we wouldn't be able to have a leg to stand on in congress.

But no instead of doing the smart thing and using integration for our personal gain you want to limit ourselves like humans that need a crutch to survive.

Back then we had both covert and overt racism. Now we mainly have covert and less overt. Its still better than having both and its still progress.

We have more influence today than we had during segregation. Just because people of today don't take advantage of the influence that doesn't mean that its not there.

Segregating while being in the USA is like asking the to draw lines so they can force our people to support our own. That's dependency on them.

We can stick to our own kind now without being segregated. Lack of self discipline and not using opportunities is the issue.

Integration lessened oppression. I never said it got rid of it entirely.
