Because nothing can come from something the universe had to have a pre existing origin. If you argue that the universe comes from an older universe that was destroyed then you will go down a never ending line of pre existing universes which is logically impossible.

Eventually there had to be a creator that has no beginning to be logically sound.

The belief in god comes down to "We dont know yet" and "Im afraid of dying".

Both are terrible arguments.
The need for a god has diminished over civilizations due to scientific advancement.
Eventually when we learn how to regenerate cells and grow organs effectively, people will no longer die from aging.

That will eventually lead to the end of religion, assuming we dont destroy ourselves first.

Belief in a creator doesn't necessarily require religious belief. I'm a deist. Not a Christian or a Muslim.

If you follow science latest developments you will be more of a believer of God more then anything. We now know multiple dimensions exist. Clearly God and Heaven is in another dimension and God can clearly see everything from where he's at. Also the laws of physics likely vary in the different dimensions and universes it gets deep
