He was never that great, but it was clear that after his second album, he went to dabble in movies then focused on smoking weed and playing golf lol
And he is one of those rare music artist that takes his time to release new albums. After “FutureSex/LoveSounds” it literally took him 7 years to drop “20/20 Experience.” He is one of those folks that has to be inspired to drop new projects.

Honestly, the only thing seeing him on that stage a couple weeks ago did was reinforce to me the fact that Michael Jackson is the GOAT. I remember when this dude was supposed to replace him according to the media at the time. He looked ridiculous on stage and is washed. Meanwhile, MJ was in his mid 40's preparing for the 'This Is It' tour still moving like he was 26. The tapes don't lie. The music & the numbers don't either.

Nahhhh if you read that Rolling Stone story a lot of what's transpired with him has been because of his doing. He just somehow managed to avoid criticism for it all these years at the expense of everyone else involved. Look at the Britney Spear, Janet and the chick he cheated on his pregnant wife at the time En
The Britney part is what I don’t get if she cheated on him it’s free game so why they mad cuz made a song bout her and not defend her unless I’m missing something

He did do that Hot97 interview once where he essentially trashed her sexually as well. Outside of that, he’s did no worse than what other artist do in using breakups to help fuel their career musically. The outrage is disingenuous, but the Britney Spears situation was going to make him catch that slander.

Even then, I can see why people feel the way that they do about him is that he’s always managed to avoid any ounce of criticism at the expense of other women. Black women in particular and we‘ve all said that for years now. Everyone is the problem but him and there’s no need to shield him anymore as others have mentioned.

Eh.

He's a Pop artist who seems to have lost his interest in music. The guy's been doing this shyt since he was a child star in the Mickey Mouse Club. He can try to reinvent himself or enjoy his success.

It's not like he's strung out on drugs, on some reality show, trying to do a Versuz, or holding a music residency at a Vegas casino.

It seems a little weird RS is attacking him especially since the biggest thing they have against is he may be cheating. Gasp. it should be taking a look at it's own legacy as a musical publication turned gossip rag and clout chaser (check its new top Hip Hop albums list.)

Rolling Stone going out sad. They basically just take whatever artist is the current hot thing on Twitter and is one-upping them (they put Cardi B album in the top 20 rap albums of all time :mjlol: ) and they are also turning their backs on any artist they had a hand in hyping up that Twitter doesn't like anymore.

Essentially, no one buying their physical publication anymore so they relying on catering to a niche Twitter audience to get electronic clicks.

Nah I want a Timberlake and Usher Verzuz. The one reason why is so that Timberland and Jermaine Dupri can go at it a bit. I'd imagine both guys will come with Timbo and JD, and JD has been waiting to do one.
