Enzo and Cass jumped the rail and got stomped down. ROH booked the angle and didn't bother to tell anyone representing New Japan that it was happening, which pissed them off. Led to Tama No fukks Given Tonga throwing the belt across a room and shytting on the company afterwards. Also led to whatever angle they had for Cass/Enzo being dropped by ROH.

What that gotta do with bubba? He was the Booker?

He and Joey Mercury were gaining more power creatively and Delirious was losing booking power but I don’t think he ever outright became booker. I stopped truly caring about ROH a long time ago though so I might be wrong on that

ROH really could've been AEW :snoop:
Once Gabe Sapolsky was gone was when they lost their spark, but the back to back combo of Cornette and Delirious as bookers really did them in IMO and directly led to this. Cornette chased/tried chasing off Steen, Generico, and Cabana while pushing bland ass Davey Richards and Eddie “Eddie Edwards” Edwards and Delirious was just lazy as hell. Between both of them they scared off or squandered so much talent that could’ve drawn money and attention to the company

Losing the Bucks/Bullet Club is the single biggest mistake they made. As hard as they went to keep Marty they should have done for The Bucks.

This is a tremendous move by them, they don't have to commit to big bags, or to certain talent they would have locked up.

It will be a great cost cutting measure that they probably should have transitioned to when the indies starting popping off again and they weren't gaining any traction during it with the fans.

Hopefully they go through with the indy bookings routine. Let's see what happens in 2022. :sadcam:

Sinclair is the single entity to blame. They have the money and resources to have elevated ROH but opted to invest minimally in the product. Obviously the allure of starting a new promotion from scratch is extremely appealing, but Sinclair/ROH could have easily shelled out the money to resign the Bucks, Cody, Hangman Page, etc. and decided not to.

Yup, Sinclair has/had deep pockets but they only ever saw ROH as something to plug in when infomercials would be on. ROH never even had a syndication spot in NYC, Chicago or LA.
