Used to work at a meat packing plant...shyt was absolutely disgusting.

One of the things I used to do was slice and package ham and sometimes you'd go to cut one of them shyts and they'red be greenish looking muck in the middle. There would be a big trash can off to the side to throw defective product, so whenever I come across anything sketchy I'd toss it.

Then my superviser, who was illegal (most of the people there were) would come fussing at me with her fukking gold tooth, pull the green mucky hams out of the trash and hand them back to me to bag and tag.

:scusthov:

And that's just the most memorable bullshyt, like that's burned into my brain, I tried to forget about the rest.

Not only that, they often don't even have any proof that you owe the debt. ie: They don't have the terms and agreements with your signature on it
Can't remember the name but I use to be on some credit forum where people shared response templates to send to the "legal department" of collection agencies. I had one agency take me to court......and they never showed up :dead:.
Know people who paid thousands of dollars to repair their credit. I was young and had time so just let 5 figures of defaulted credit card debt just roll off the statute of limitation limits. I was living at home and with girlfriends anyway and just stacking money so the 7 years was nothing, flew by :sas1:

When you apply for a car loan through a dealership, unless its 0.9%, anything over that, the dealership is legally able to add up to 2% interest rate. This is how most dealerships make a lot of their money. Not on the cars themselves. If they sell the car for sticker price or above and on top of this, they make incredible money. So when you are negotiating a car and you think you got a great deal for $3000 under sticker, while a good deal, they are making $5000+ off you on the interest rate.

So if you have mediocre credit and they offer you 12% interest rate, you really got approved for 8-10% or maybe even lower, they start higher because they make you focus on the monthly payment more than the actual details. So example if you got approved for 6% interest rate, they might come out and say 12% because then it gives them room to lower the monthly payment to what you want, while still never lowered the price of the car ANd they get to keep 2% interest rate (aka they just made $10,000+ profit on you while you think you getting the deal of a life time :mjlol:)

Always ask to see the offer from the bank. Thats your real interest rate.
Can you pls give a step by step way to approach this

Also every call isn't recorded.. well alt least here it wasn't.. it recorded 4 calls a day... My supervisor had access to everyones daily recordings once you hit 4 that nikka would instant message the code word FAVRE :smugfavre: and tell us to streamroll you nikkas off the phones... Our team was winning all types of bonuses doing shady shyt.. nikkas getting corporate bosses to fly down and recognize us.. corporate paid events for our team all paid for by pure fuccery

Damn those were great times:mjcry:

At my first collections job, we had QA who would randomly listen to calls to grade, but your manager could also dial into your line and listen in as well, but only one party could listen at a time. So if we had someone on the ropes, or wanted to say something that would violate FDCPA but get us the payment, one of us would go to the manager's desk and dial into our extension (shyt, sometimes the manager would do it himself), and if they could hear the call, they would give you the thumbs up and sit the phone down while you worked your magic. If they got a busy signal, then you know you had to be on your P's & Q's because QA was monitoring.

Breh I know you typed it twice but how is 88% not a typo???

What?

That's not legal.

One of the collection agencies I worked at collected on payday loans with APRs over 200%.

Not only that, they often don't even have any proof that you owe the debt. ie: They don't have the terms and agreements with your signature on it

Another collection agency I worked at, we had a set of accounts that were so old that we didn't even have these people's SSN on the account, sometimes not even a home address. Typically our threshold for doing a settlement would be no lower than 35%-40% of the balance, but these shytty accounts, if you said "man I ain't paying no more than $50, take it or leave it" we would gladly take that (even if the shyt was $10,000) and mark that shyt paid in full.

How do people think gravy is made? It's basically fat with flour. The fat used in the kfc one probably taste delicious as it has all that fried chicken flavor already. But yeah it's a heart attack.

Yeah that’s the issue. Not all gravy is made like at all, if you’re a chef or cook!

Specifically, they scrape the crispy dropped off crispy bits from the bottom of the fryer and blend/mix it up with what I thought was flower/powder and liquid (think it was water or something)

I'll add on to this.

Alot of repair shops will inflate the customers estimates and skim the rest by not ordering new parts or repairing items on the insurance estimate that were supposed to be replaced.. so they can pocket the rest.

I've had people pull up many times wanting to fight the shop because they caught them red handed fixing items that's supposed to be replaced.
The amount of people that wouldn’t just Google wtf the real price was on the part they needed was astonishing. We had a 300x markup on wholesale prices for most parts that we got from Oreilly or XL auto. Even retail was something like a 250x markup and if they went to go get their own parts we would void any warranty even though they went to go get the parts from the exact same place we did. Sheisty ass shyt.

It is with the payday loan type places we were using. All for a silly ass $10 per person referral spiff for whoever we got to sign on the dotted line.

We don't need to mince words. I'm absolutely selfish, but not at all for any of the reasons I've outlined here.

I'm trying to give a fukk about you caring about me as a poster.... I'm trying... but it's just not happening. And you are a poster I very much respect for your honesty, so I guess our previously-mutual respect is a one-way street now. :yeshrug:

But it's important to make the distinction between the people calling the shots, and the people pushing the buttons.

You think I'm the former, while I was the latter.

I did exactly what you would have done.

Can't agree with the bolded, though I understand the perspective, and you shouldn't give a fukk I mean it's the internet. You conceded being selfish, so your self aware (most are not), so we straight, respect still two ways outchea breh
