my schpeil:

Good morning balding so hard I'm Ed Mothereffing G from Waystar Royco Bank how are you doing?

great

Ya know, in addition to financing that washing machine you did with Royco, we also look for ways to help our clients save money or improve their credit. With the information we have, I found a way we can keep your total payments the exact same for all of your debt, pay off all of the balances on your 4 credit cards, and pay off your house in 9 years.

[your reaction doesn't matter as long as you don't tell me to fukk off. And if you do I say 'well give it some thought this week and I'll reach out later this week :umad:]

In fact Baldingsohard, I could even lower your monthly payments by $300/mo and still pay off your home in 13 years...that saves you 17 years of interest which is over $500,000! I thought it made sense to reach out to you to discuss. Do you have some time to come by and talk about this tomorrow afternoon? Oh okay, how about tuesday; we'll grab lunch near your office"

it was already over. didn't tell a single lie, not gonna deceive you whatsoever, and you're sold. and if you pushed back that was the fun

"why the HELL would I want to refinance with Waystar Royco bank?"
"Honestly the bank doesn't matter baldingsohard...why would you not want to save $300 a month? AND improve your credit because you paid off all of your revolving debt? What about that doesn't make sense? Let me show you in person and if it's not a good fit, at least you know for sure :youngsabo:"

by the end he's at 110% LTV on his house, his payments ARE $300 lower, he IS on a 13 year term on his mortgage and I even gave him some payment flexibility with the ARM [i didn't do those much...i preferred high LTV than adjustable rates...shytty for a different reason]

Ugh...

Man...

That's terrible and you know it. lol

But at least you got out.

110% LTV... Yeah I can imagine it got hard to sleep at night.

At least in IT, I didn't have to talk to any of the people I was setting up.

I think I said this in the old thread but when I was an over the phone customer service rep/retention agent for Direct TV every customer who called in had a star rating 1-6 that basically corresponded to their "value"

1 star customers were customers who were consistently late on payments and usually had cheaper programing packages.

6 star customers were ones who were rarely if ever late and had the more expensive packages and bundles.

Lower star customers were locked out of the best promotions...like free months of things like HBO and sport channels like Redzone, discounts on certain packages.

1 star customers wouldn't have shyt but maybe $5 off for autobill pay.

So the CSR's hands would be tied with lower star customers and wouldn't be able to offer them anything significant to retain them. But if the customer complained enough and got a manager on the phone they could usually bypass all that.

Also, I don't know if the systems are improved as this was 10 years ago, but if a agent was trifling enough it was easy as a click to sign up customers for packages or upgraded equipment they didn't authorize to get the commission. And if they didn't leave a notation on the account it'd was difficult to see who was responsible.

For example shady CSR's would claim to upgrade customers for free when it wasn't just to shut them up and keep their retention numbers up. The odds of them reaching the same CSR if they call back were slim to nothing. So some other agent would get cursed out for it.

I ended up quitting Direct when one of the senior agents whos job it was to "coach" agents with low retention ended up upgrading an elderly woman to a DVR she didn't ask for locking her in to a 2 year contract.

I used to work in a call center for Dish network back in the day and we had that same rating system.. 5 star was the highest and 1 the lowest... We would literally give 5 Star custys damn near 6 months of free service because we would still make money off them... We'd cancel a one star with the quickness and tack on them unreturned equipment fees :lolbron:

Also we ran a uspell promotion for a few months to get people to add on movies packages/ channels... You had to hit a certain number each month... Fam.. at the end of the call I'd add the Encore package to your account... Write your account number down and remove it at the end of my shift.. it counted as an upsell once the call eneded:russ:

Also every call isn't recorded.. well alt least here it wasn't.. it recorded 4 calls a day... My supervisor had access to everyones daily recordings once you hit 4 that nikka would instant message the code word FAVRE :smugfavre: and tell us to streamroll you nikkas off the phones... Our team was winning all types of bonuses doing shady shyt.. nikkas getting corporate bosses to fly down and recognize us.. corporate paid events for our team all paid for by pure fuccery

Damn those were great times:mjcry:

When you pay for an alarm system you pay them to tell you if the thing sends a signal out and they receive a notice of that signal. You do not pay them to tell you that the thing cant send a signal at all or hasnt been able to signal for a day, a week, a month, a year, 10years, since the day you bought, etc. And so they dont, even if your one of the customers that call into the alarm company to pay your bill, they are not gonna tell you that it hasnt been signaling, even if they can see that it hasnt.

Feel sorry for you if you have family members taking Medicare/Medicaid funded paratransit rides to their appointments. Drivers be drunk and high like a muthafukka. Snortin lines in the parking lot, smoking big blunts, drinking tall cans between pickups out of sight of the camera. All kinds of shyt. If the country knew who was picking up grandma and grandma there just might be a riot.
What state?
Everybody was fukking in my old resort job

I did exactly what you would have done. I was just in a place to do it while you weren't.

I wasn't calling shots at all. I was... 2 years out of college trying to build a career.

When Angelo Mozilo's (the CEO) nephew walks up to your desk and says, "Make this CLUES report an accept!" you make the CLUES report an accept.

I get that. But...the way you're speaking in this thread is mad disrespectful.

I get that. A lot of people got hurt because of the keystrokes I hit...

And I've thought about this a lot over the years.

The fact is... if it wasn't me, it would have been someone else.

That is... we all tell ourselves that we would get up from that keyboard and walk away.

But when your choice as a man 2-years out of college is:
  1. Press the button; get paid.
  2. Don't press the button; stand up and walk away; someone else presses the button and gets paid.
...the reality is you would have pressed the button.

I wasn't a decision-maker; I was a tool. There is absolutely nothing I could have done that would have have stopped what happened.

I was personally responsible for a lot of the fukkery that occurred at Countrywide Home Loans back from 2005 - 2008.

As in, I was the guy, at the computer, typing the things, making the bad loans get through our own checks and balances, because we were greedy fukks.

Worked at a car repair shop. The lies they will fkn tell you about your car to get money out of you knows no ends. Glad I quit that place, lying to fixed income old ladies and making them finance car repairs with an 88% EIGHTY EIGHT percent interest rate was soul less. People would have cars just fine and all of a sudden needed a brake job etc.

Breh I know you typed it twice but how is 88% not a typo???

What?

That's not legal.
