I worked for one of the largest medical equipment distributors in the world. Here are some things that happened while i was there:

1) expiration dating is a joke. You can bypass expiration date controls by inserting an incorrect or a fake expiration date. I redesigned the SQL scripted to find and investigate expiration date issues. Anyone in healthcare knows lots numbers and expiration dates are very important to protect patients.

2) no HIPPA training for direct to consumer orders. I had to create a job aid for our training program since folks would throw away patient information in general trash

3) Mega disorganized and it doesn't need to be this way. There is a treasure trove of data and the company doesn't know how to use it properly.

4) stealing equipment and inventory is super easy. This happened a lot during the height of the pandemic.

5) racism is rampant especially for engineering and professional jobs. They will hire a subpar Asian or white person over a qualified Latino or Black candidate especially for engineering and skilled positions. This isn't the case for middle management and floor leadership positions. Of course this is changing since Latino and black people are getting STEM degrees at higher numbers.

If they process the smaller transactions first, you’d only get one overdraft charge when the rent was processed. If they process the rent first, they charge you a fee for every other transaction after that because the rent charge already took you past your balance.

true. Once the policies changed en masse to significantly increase the amount of transactions before txns are rejected you are correct. The previous model made sense when you typically got 3-4 transactions to overdraw before rejection but that changed i think with Dodd-Frank
