It looks like a lot of cats in here can't cook...

Who’s crying? I analyze every business model of every place I patronize. My money only goes to establishments that provide intrinsic value somewhat equivalent to the prices they charge.

They charge 200% and 300% markup because they know poor people or people of low pride will pay high prices to look like luxury for a day. And you idiots fall for it hook line and sinker every time. Forgive me for not following the herd of lost blind sheep.

look at these dummies right here

Lol I know you reading it, tho. Betta save that money. Sooner or later people will figure out that you’re only recommending that we offer over asking price so your bread crumbs I mean commission payout is higher. Better hope the appraiser plays ball.

Its morning in Cali, I might go for the 2 for $4 breakfast they got:ehh:

Like I said save your money. I might go work for Zillow so I can help them progress in automating the sales process:sas1:. I could probably make something that generates those docusign purchase ageeements in under 2000 lines of code. I wonder how you all will pretend to be worth your realtor fees then...

Everyone talking about "upscale" and thinking this is upscale are really the frauds. Blowing $250 at a steakhouse because you think its upscale ain't it.

Going to an upscale restaurant that serves a multi-course prix fixe menu is considered upscale. For example, I went to a place like this for my b-day and dropped about $350 for 2. Each course came with a wine selection and we were also served a small aperitif and digestif.

Point is, if you can to a restaurant without making reservations at least a few days in advance (or use the Amex concierge service to get you a last-minute table) it's not upscale, they're just overcharging you. Especially for steak and potatoes.

That said, if you genuinely like the food and the vibe, do you. Just don't make this about who can afford what.

Yeah I just hope my people can break out of this rampant consumerism one day. I know what is said on the other side of those high profit margin transactions. It’s not flattering. Trying to pay our way into social status is one huge problem among black middle and upper class.

You sound simple. Upscale doesn't mean French you idiot

I nice high end establishment where you have multiple waiters and high end liqueur options is upscale.

They'll bring your food out out in stages in any restaurant you go to if you ask

Went to brunch and had this conversation with a classmate yesterday. I don’t ever expect to go to an upscale restaurant and expect to spend less than $100 just for myself to dine and drink.
