---- I cant believe Im addressing this song in such a way, but 'Aint no fun' doesnt necessarily imply group sex. I guess it could be inferred, but I always took it to mean that you want the female to be a bopper, and go from nikka to nikka individually. Like if she comes around if a nikka from the crew wants her, then she needs to bust it wide open and shes nobody's girl in particular.

I agree with most of your points except I gotta nitpick this one. I don't think the song's about group sex but it also doesn't make it any less questionable, it just makes it less overt. Like ultimately it's still about the pleasure the men are getting, the woman only matters insofar as she can be fukked.

Though that's probably not your point anyways, it seems like you mostly had a problem with the song being perceived as being about group sex.

Every Tyga verse is about his penis and guns. Same with Lil Wayne (overt referenses to oral sex with women, he's still dealin drugs [in his rhymes]. Drake went through that transformation where he was Best I Ever Had, Fancy Drake to 3 AM In Dallas, Headlines (Video with goons in black, "Catch A Body Like That") Drake. He's the biggest artist in Rap, but, still felt the pressure not to be "soft."

And, no; ain't no woman like your brother. Yes, you don't have to be a woman to have a sister. What about lady friend or wife, b?

lol @ trying to defend the sanctity of group sex.

Tyga, Big sean, drake, kanye and wayne do not have hyper-masculine images. Period.

You're reaching with the PDiddy line. Brother rhymes with lover, and he was just trying to express closeness. If one interprets that as some sort of gay sht, I think it just says where the listeners head is at.

I wasnt defending the sanctity of group sex...im saying that group sex wasnt stated in the song.

this is exactly why Hip Hop needs to be completely destroyed and rebuilt from scratch.

Perhaps...I read it as more of a power dominance sort of relationship. Like I can get a chick to fukk my boys at the drop of a hat, while other cats have to wine and dine a chick just to even sniff her draws.

In times of war a more aggressive approach to life is required. When the war is over, human beings naturally become softer,

What's hyper-masculine, to you?

They hit all the marks, IMO. I've already stated how.

Not sayin' I agree (I kinda do), but, my biggest point is it has merit. And "it rhymes" is a horrible excuse, breh.

When does love for your boys cross over into homoeroticism? Not that I agree with the homies over H0es thinking. But I don't think that way of thinking is a sign that the person is DL. They just don't value women and look at them as less then human. (Which I don't agree with but just saying).

Its just a huge reach. Diddy was just trying to communicate that their connection extends beyond sexual interest. Now if Diddy had said to his brother "yo we're more than brothers we almost like lovers" THAT would be homoerotic and questionable. Thats directly insinuating gay sht.

Domination definitely plays into it. I think that reducing the woman into a tool to be exchanged is some obvious sexism that also hints at, if not really homoeroticism, a homosocial element where it's all about the men. This is crazy but think of the movie Point Break where Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze are established as not gay, or at least, into having sex with women and the way that the love interest is kinda pushed aside so that the movie is really about the interactions between the two men. Not necessarily gay, more of a different lens to look at the movie, or in this case, the music through.

So how does homoeroticism manifest itself in rap? Well, Emil Wilbekin, former editor of industry bible “Vibe Magazine” suggests that if Hip Hop’s main consumers are men, then you must conclude that LL Cool J posing half naked under a waterfall in his videos must be appealing to males in some way. Similarly, 50 Cent’s first two album covers, that feature him, shirt off and oiled up, must be successful marketing towards men as well as women to explain their rates of purchase by gender. Wilbekin’s own magazine has been as part of this. Vibe’s Cover has been graced, in various states of nudity, by Nelly, Tupac, 50 Cent, Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Run DMC, Piles and Eminem, to name but a few. Can you imagine NME stripping off and greasing up members of the Artic Monkeys? It seems unlikely.

I dont think what he is taking note of has anything to do with 'homosexuality'.

I think people are stretching what the meaning of gay is to encompass things that arent gay. Being gay is being sexually attracted to a man. I mean its that simple so anything that has nothing to do with that is meaningless, friend. People that have their own personal hangups will see attraction where it doesnt exist.

Its so demonic, friends.

That's why I said homosocial. I don't think Snoop and Nate Dogg were fukking each other.

...Or were they? :lupe:

Nate Dogg loved women so i doubt it. He may have talked all that hoe this and B-word that but he once held a relative and his girlfriend at gunpoint for having an affair with one another. He also torched her car for having an affair. I think this is behavior of a man that loves women, to much.
