i like how it played out though, here is Mr.Untouchable who wanted his name to ring out.....

And it never quite happened....

He ruled based on fear and intimidation and in the end he was never respected and his reign was very short

That's a consequence to the life he lived. Marlo was like a ghost. He only let certain people get close and did so much that he wouldn't get hemmed up that he never left much of a legacy for people to talk about. Chris was the terror putting people in the vacants and Mike became young Omar, but no one knows about his connection to Marlo or that Marlo put him on. He won the lane that stringer was going for, and for most people that's one hell of a win. But like he said "his name is his name" and if his shyt isn't ringing out what's the point

Omar's death being foreshadowed in Season 4.. He looks out the window to see a meeting with Marlo and Mike, his partner asks who he is (Mike)

Omar: :yeshrug: he's just a kid

Probably thought the same when he saw Kenard in that grocery store

Season 4 is undoubtedly the best season
Amazing acting, atmosphere, and stories
There was no main character just stories that flowed seeminlesy

Imagine if they took this directing approach and added 2 or 3 more seasons

here is one that I just peeped this year, watch Omar at 35 seconds, this is how he found out about Orlandos

:ohhh:

Mother of God. The little subtle things. That's fukking awesome story telling. It's not ham fisted, it's how it would play out in real life. Nothing is super spelled out. It makes you watch every scene over and over

The kids were terrified of Chris n snoop....Would mike talk that shyt to Chris....
Yea he took Chris's money not Marlo's
I felt Marlo was so discrete it damaged his reputation as far as getting his name out but at the same time he was cunning at avoiding attention from the law.
The difference between Avon and Marlo
was Avon had alot more charisma and was more involved with those working under him
I.e. East side vs Westside Basketball game.. throwing parties
Marlo was lurking in the shadows keeping his distance and only let his lieutenant close to him

Marlo would've been killed in prison, unlike Avon who garners respect from the whole prison
