The duality of him and Bunny reaping what they sow.

Bunny said the exact same thing during the Comstock when he was relieved of command, and just like String he never finish saying mothafukka completely. This show is beyond GOAT

Season 5 could've worked a bit better if they expanded on the budget cuts of the police force and less screen time for the newspaper cast.. the serial killer stuff is outta control and absurd as fukk tho but it's still entertaining

Clay Davis is the GOAT political scumbag
Bullshytting his way to an acquittal in the court room and everyone cheering :mjlol:

This is one of the scenes I never appreciated in the first view
He left Ronda Pearlman like :wtf: just happened

Excellent scene

Ended the series with better understanding of the newsroom storyline
It was necessary to coincide with the serial killer storyline
Scott Templeton is a phony cac fabricating stories, that shyt is all relevant today with all the #FakeNews shyt going on.

Still pissed how Omar went out :smh:

Mike becoming the next Omar was too forced and dosnt have enough context. I thought that scene was corny

Slim Charles was always the realest in the game so him taking over the co-op was a happy ending for the Barkesdale organization

Best to Worst seasons IMO
4, 1, 3, 2.... 5

And i found Season 2 to be excellent, season 5 really through off the wheel of a Masterpiece but it was still good just not great

Yo brehs, HBO2 is airing The Wire until 8:45 tonight. (Eastern Time)
Currently on season 1, the episode where Bodie escapes juvi and McNulty/Bunk reexamine the crime scene.

Legit question. Why didn't the co-op just go all in on Marlo and stop him in his tracks. Seems like their combined power could have nipped that shyt in the bud.

Should have been some "you either with us or against us" type shyt.

The vast majority of the co-op didn't have a problem with Marlo. What he ate didn't make them shyt. He was west side and a lot of them were east side. Slim started losing crews to him but that was Slim....their entire philosophy was to stop warring and just sell product so to go against that philosophy to war with Marlo just because Slim and a few others were losing crews/corners didn't make sense for the majority of the players. And they just saw what happened with Avon when he went to war with the kid and couldn't get him...

It's possible that they might have eventually came to the conclusion that he had to go if he expanded well beyond his territory, but they weren't close to that point yet. They had a much bigger beef with the New York dealers and would have rather had Marlo help them with that since he was so good at getting rid of bodies inconspicuously.
