I liked season 2 more than a lot of people did :manny:

S2 is a preview of a lot of shyt happening today. The death of unions and manufacturing, opioids in white communities, etc. It's one of the ballsiest seasons of television. Adding white people to a majority black show could have been a way to gain viewers, but instead Simon went deeper and showed shyt nobody else was showing. You want white people? Well here they are, dysfunctional and dying.

Season 2 is awesome just like the rest of the series. People get mad they stopped focusing on the hoodtales, just consider it world building :yeshrug:. Ziggy was a fukking scumbag, but I can't say there aren't people out there just like him in real life:francis:. That Toyota commercial that played in the Super Bowl that reunited Frank, Nick, and Ziggy had me :gladbron::ooh::salute:

I also don't think the serial killer shyt in season 5 is that farfetched :yeshrug: - as outlandish as it was they went about it in a realistic way :manny:

here is one that I just peeped this year, watch Omar at 35 seconds, this is how he found out about Orlandos

:ohhh:

Exactly.. like in one episode Lt Daniels was complying with the commissioner about shutting the Barksdale case down and got Mcnulty all riled up.. then later in the episode he fights to get the case extended, so we as the viewer figure it's because of the shyt Mcnulty said
but at the end of the episode Mcnulty thanked him you see Daniels holding a pic of Omar's dead boyfriend and glare at it for a few seconds, so we know it wasn't about Mcnulty it was about seeking justice for the murder

I didn't notice that shyt till this rewatch :wow:

Marlo's untouchable stature was cartoony.
i like how it played out though, here is Mr.Untouchable who wanted his name to ring out.....

And it never quite happened....

He ruled based on fear and intimidation and in the end he was never respected and his reign was very short

I felt Chris had his name ringing out more than his boss.. was the show ever self aware of that?
