Masai gotta be the most overrated GM ever.
Why didn't they just accept they weren't winning shyt with the roster and sell some assets at the deadline and rebuild with what is undeniably the best coach in their history?

I blame Scottie Buns for this. If he had developed the way everyone had projected including @Gil Scott-Heroin this woulda never needed to happen. Say what you want about Nurse but he’s had the weirdest most mismatched roster in the league the last couple years. When he’s had a squad the whole world knows what he can do.
Youre talking about the GOAT coach in Raptors history. The whole league studies his playbook. You don’t just let a guy like that go….but I get it he’s the most logical target. It’s easier than Masai having to actually get out there and work…he could have gotten some nice returns for his pieces but he’s like Ainge…he would rather win a trade than just get quality value. Vanvleet had a major down year…..Siakam is a stud but he’s not a number 1 and Buns is….well Buns. You can’t do much with that as a coach.
They hedged their future on Buns developing into that Kawhi void and ended up assed out when they realized he has no potential to be that guy.
I don’t see how Ime or any other coach is gonna fix those problems…

Ime can wait for the inevitable Doc Rivers firing. Once they get bounced again in the 2nd round. Start with an MVP Embiid, Maxey and Tobias Harris expiring contract for a Dame Lillard trade, try and extend James Harden.

Because rebuilding sucks and they charge an insane amount of money. Raptors fans ain't Knicks fans. Scotiabank Arena isn't the tourist trap MSG is.
It does suck but it's also a necessity for teams. I saw my Celtics do it for years after they fleeced Brooklyn and look where we are now.
