Nah, Raptors had a good chance winning the following season. The following season Raptors finished 2nd in the East and in the 2nd round took the Celtics to game 7. If Kawhi was on that team we would've most likely went back to back. After that season everything went downhill though
no they didnt:russ:

How many times did casey win 50 plus games and lose in da playoffs because his roster wasn't good enough? Nurse been living the same life since Kawhi left, very overrated coach, who is now running from the grind.

But i do think at minimum, da raps get back to the finals with Kawhi if he decided to stay.

Say it again.

An NBA coach plays the best 9 players mgnt gives him.

HC plays a huge part in player development by giving them minutes and letting them play thru mistakes....they cannot develop if your stingy about playing young players vs veterans....

Nikkas in here taking about trades and untradeables are so fukkn stupid lol..

Scottie isnt untradeable but you cannot trade him for a max player 1 for 1 because of the money....you nikkas that dont understand the economics of the NBA or trading players should just keep ur mouths shut you....

Ill repeat again Scottie isnt untradeable but you cant trade him for KD unless it was a throw in on top 2-3 other players to make salaries match...

Breh you're in this thread talking about stuff like "Masai thinks these G League guys can maybe play but Nurse didn't give them minutes". No shyt he didn't. The roster is largely trash. Your best player is Siakam which says it all. Masai is more responsible for Toronto's problems than Nurse is. When Masai is thinking that he has the prime Warriors roster while simultaneously wanting scrubs to get more minutes, that's when your season was fukked and no coach is saving that.

Your complaints just sound like the kind of complaints every fan has with their team. Wanna see younger/lesser guys get some PT to prove themselves but there's obviously a reason they don't get the minutes. The coach sees them every day in practice.

And I don't need to watch every Raps game to see that either.
Yeah you don’t watch the team.

There’s a difference between the players ain’t good enough and not even giving them a chance to show if they’re good enough. If you are the boss and you spend a bunch of money on a new experimental tool to use and the manager under you doesn’t use the tool (and still underperforms doing it their way) so you can’t evaluate the tool you paid lots of money for, how do you know if your investment is worth keeping or not?

And that’s important for a Raptors franchise that relies on internal development because Canada isn’t an attractive destination for most players in the league. So you gotta give guys an opportunity to show what players have and develop. Go watch the 42 minute Masai presser and he’s saying the same shyt I am.

You’re just being too shortsighted in how you’re thinking about things, probably because you don’t watch enough Raptors games.

Which players do you feel he should have given more opportunities to?

If we kept that roster intact we were going back to back
