first of all this whole thing of using a singular example is just stupid, that's part of the reason why i dont respond to it

if i say that america is a racist country, you do not counter that by saying, hey i know an american who isnt racist, that is not a proper response, its not even worth responding to cuz its just dumb

your personal life story doesnt tell the whole story. my assertion and the assertion in the article was not that EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT LISTENS TO RAP TURNS INTO A CRIMINAL

why do i need to respond to your distortion of what the article is saying and your feeble response to it

secondly why do you and others assert that rap music effects children with bad parents and cant link that with the acknowledged breakdown of the black family, how can you not see the connection?

my bad if got your assertion wrong, but you said something to the effect that there is a thin line between drug dealing and a legit business, that notion is straight from rap and it obviously effected your outlook on life

There is definitely a thin line between dealing drugs on a certain level and running a legit business...If you think that notion comes from rap music then you are misguided. One of the most powerful political families of all times jump started their empire via the sell of illegal substances...

Rappers are the house n!ggers of these times. Most of them are clamoring to be a part of a masters house (aka joining a label.) They are given money in advance based upon how much revenue the master believes he can generate off the talents or acts of the "artist." The slave, oops I mean artist must repay his masters debt before he can earn money for himself. In generating this revenue via his acts, he may does accumulate some wealth which he\she usually uses to enrich the other masters (European fashion houses, automakers, banking houses, Alcoholic beverage companies, etc.) The artist promotes everything european and even identifies their culture as superior while denigrating his own. The skill to sell and propagate a message is of great use to their masters.

And we'll notice how the music was hijacked and subverted by the current masters. Rap started out as party music and social commentary. The social commentary portion has been stricken out and the party aspect was emphasized. From there the masters infused the drug and gang culture into the music, and ultra materialsm. After that the strip club culture was merged into it. And with each change came a new iteration of the music and it definitely effects the mindset of the people. It is all by design though. This is just one aspect of what I call the Invisible Plantation.

the line isnt thin, the line is bright and clear, rap music has deluded you into thinking its thin

i think maybe you mean that there are similarities, but people that dont understand that the line IS NOT thin will probably fail at both

Never said it did, I said that I was an example and there are many other examples of people like me on this site and across the country.

Because if you attack someones reponse, the reasoning must be steeped in logic and reason

secondly why do you and others assert that rap music effects children with bad parents and cant link that with the acknowledged breakdown of the black family, how can you not see the connection?
I think I along with others in this thread, have stated that using hip hop in that equation is lazy as fukk and that sans hip hop, children with no guidance will still be prone to negative traits and outcomes

my bad if got your assertion wrong, but you said something to the effect that there is a thin line between drug dealing and a legit business, that notion is straight from rap and it obviously effected your outlook on life
If you think that notion is from rap you are off your rocker dude. All I did was show that there are parallels between being a drug dealer and being a businessman and that while there are many legit businesses and entrepreneurs that make up the economy, there are just as many (perhaps even more?) "legit" business and corporations that share qualities and similarities of drug dealers, mainly preying on others for profit or personal gain, often at the expense of others, society and the environment.

YOU ARE LITERALLY TYPING A RESPONSE TO THIS ON A PRODUCT THAT IS A RESULT OF ATTACKING COMPETITION, DIFFERENTIATION OF PRODUCT VIA MARKETING AND ADVERTISING, AND SALES OF A PRODUCT THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE 100% SAFE OR SECURE FOR THE USER OR THOSE WHO HAVE MANUFACTURED IT.

Nah I believe it's on the young people of the next generation to really eradicate this notion of race. But we'll have bigger problems in the form of classism after that.

yeah but do you think that magically happens or do you think we need to prepare people for their tasks?

i dont think telling black kids that it doesnt matter what you listen to or it doesnt matter what you say is preparing kids to be a leader, its just preparing people to be man children

It doesn't matter what they listen to because at the end of the day I can turn on Gucci Mane and a Black Star record and that doesn't truthfully effect me in either direction unless I'm already feeling some type of way. But I agree that we as a society should definitely be helping these poor kids become future leader and recognize why they are in the positions that they are in so that they can make a change. That's what I miss about the early to mid 90s the most. There was gangsta music but there was always an underlying message that we should do better and be better. Y'all have to admit that.

but you are acting like i said that, and singular examples dont mean anything, what im taling about is the overall trends, im sure there many examples that dont fit the trend

Because if you attack someones reponse, the reasoning must be steeped in logic and reason

using a singular example to counter a trend isnt logic

i wouldnt say it came from rap, what i am saying is that its perpetuated by rap, but that notion is a lie and the wrong way of looking at things

sure there are similarities between a legit business and the underworld business, and sometimes they even merge, but that doesnt mean the line between them is thin

and overall the whole notion of trying to elevate spreading poison in the black community as somehow legit is just another example of how rap music is spreading a degenerate culture, why would any black person i their right mind want to legitimize drug dealing? what is the black community gaining by spreading such a notion?

yeah exactly so you are telling me the recipe for how to raise man-children, you dont know how to raise leaders to confront problems and change their situation

i dont agree that this society needs to do anything, i think we as black people need to raise black men and women, not man children that depend and beg other people to do things for them

I agree with everything you said with the exception for one thing. I don't see how we really disagree. I talked about unfair law enforcement and it not being the artist's fault (it's the system really) in my post. Maybe you are trying to keep this HL thing interesting by sending some subliminals in my direction.

I guess where we have an issue is you said "the whole system/environment is designed to make parents fail". I don't understand this. You think black parents fail because the system is out to make them fail? You think the government is targeting black parents and incentivizing them to make bad parenting choices?
Yes with the social entitlement programs like HUD, Section 8, food stamps, child support and whatever else I left out. All these things discourage marriage and men becoming patriarchs of households. Government assistance use to same our people but now it is a badge of honor. So, yes the government is doing such things.

That's my entire point....Rap music aint got nothing to do with. These guys were doing this way before Hov and Escobar hit the scene...These dudes are in they 60s now....and run legit businesses....They were getting it in the 70s......Real life inluenced what you hear in rap now, its not really the other way around. But I'm sure you will find a way to apply how rap music effected someone's behavior in 1975...

Where did I say any of the things you're accusing me of supporting? You need to fall back.

but again, if you read the article nowhere does it assert that rap is the cause, that is something that your lack of reading comprehension is causing you to assert

if you are going to argue, you should argue with what is actually said, not what you think it said

do yourself a favor and actually read the article before you respond

i'm tellin yall niccas. we need partitions going at record labels. everything else will fall in place.....

that will take care of what the artists' subject matter. then we can worry about parenting and them other problems.

"we" who didn't turn out as gangbangers cannot just sit back and say well i didnt turn out as a drugdealer so it's not the music.. we're the minority. hopefully you get it before that dude ridin around randomly lookin for any nicca to kill.

if you're older and successful what are you doing for hiphop to steer it to the right direction? i own hiphop. i just can quite give up on it and say i'm leaving it for rock. i grew up on this sh1t. attacking meek mill is pointless cause they'll just get rid of him and replace him with some other munkie.

artists and "black execs" should also only work with black artists and watch out for the "steve stoutes"/uncle toms. there should be no working with jewish lawyers and jewish execs. they are the ones who camp in your team pretending to be your buddies for years end just to turn against you and bring confusion in your team and hand over your hard work to the mother label.
i treat hiphop like a family business. no outsiders. period. you let these devils in you'll lose control. look at how the entertainment zionists set up eminem with rosenberg. they got this shyt all planned out. zionist starts up shady records and other ventures with eminem. eminem goes on his drug using spree and thank goodness the boy didn't die cause if he died all that sh1t would've been rosenberg's. me personally i don't fuq with jews. i treat them like the snakes they are. they'll set you up. these jewish niccas ain't never rapped in their life but eating off this rap sh1t... fuq dat.

i know we were one big happy family at sohh but i got my eyes open now... i could give a fuq about you jewish ppl. and fuq drake. fuq mac miller. fuq mackelmore. i dont fuq with none of them niccas.
